Irony much?
How to get from A to B in Boralus: Walk from A to B
How to get from A to B in Dazar’alor: Walk from A to A1 then take the ramp to A2, follow walkway A3 to A4 then circle around to get to platform A1A right above A1. Continue a bit to A5 then circle around to platform A2A just above A2 …
I honestly prefer Boralus over Dazar’alor. It’s a confusing pile of rocks where you can’t be certain where you’re going, and you don’t know if you’re going the right way at all.
Troll one is much worse. You need flight paths just to get to the bank or portals.
Boralus is nice and compact with most things at the harbour.
I agree with OP, and general sentiment of Zuldazar.
Boralus, would otherwise be ok if the mission ship wasn’t situated on 2-3 criss crossing ramps an/or platforms. I really hate that.
Zuldazar is spaced poorly. Basically have to use a flight path between the main areas: the main building (with bank, chest, portals), and the port.
BfA is already “worse expansion for” in a plethora of areas. Can add major cities to that list.
What are these areas out of curiosity?
I don’t want to necro the thread, but read the forums.
Or maybe you shouldn’t be so offended when people have a different opinion than you do. I for one LOVE Boralus (it’s Boralus btw, not Bolarus). It’s hands down one of the best cities in the game. Imo.
That’s not an answer since all we see on the forum are opinions but okay.
I’m so jealous. Dazar’alor is annoying
I have a horde alt. I knowwwwww.
I think the ropes need to be taken off the ship from the gang plank when you jump across to where the mission table is. I too have gotten caught up in that. If the ropes were gone or phantom this would not be an issue. Other than that, I love the look and feel of Boralus. D’zalaor is a pain to navigate and flying would make it easier.
No city is hard again after having Dazzy as the capital for almost a year
Glad its not just me, i feel so awkward everytime i fail that jump
Guys he’s talking about Bolarus, not Boralus. Boralus is just perfect instead, and compact too! Dazar’Alor on the other hand…
Dazar’Alor is horribly inconvenient. Started levelling cooking today, you need 12 flight paths, a mountain climbing kit and a mole machine to go between the trainer and the cooking supplies NPC.
Boralus is far easier to get around when you’re after a vendor or trainer. The great pyramid of expensive fp hopping is a pain. Tip…when you do the quest that lets you choose between worshipping the pterrodax and the one that give mount speet after a fp, pick the pterrodax. You get some quick extra flightpoints from one side to the other. I do however know the very ropes by the ship in Boralus that cause such irritation. I get stuck on them on nearly a daily basis or tangled in a dangling anchor. If Horde really wanted to win they should just stock that harbour with piranha there’s so many Alliance end up falling in.
I’m not saying Boralus is the best city I’ve been in so far, but… I’m saying Boralus is the best city I’ve been in so far. It even has a flippin haycart by the flight master you can sit in. Everything is conveniently located while giving a nice nautical feel, only black market being in a poor spot. Are you really going to tell me dalaran is better than boralus? Or phased garrisons? Or the panda temple?
And if you want to compare it to Dazar’alor, don’t, I hate Dazar’alor, have to take a flight path to harbour to do anything remotely relevant, and fly all the way to the top of the pyramid for portals.
Boralus is amazing. All meaningful thing close each other, beautiful architecture and sound track. One billion times better then horde city (but it will change a bit after flying opening).
I’m going with yes. Definetly less beautiful, but in terms of convenience, Dalaran was better. Mailbox everywhere should return.
Boralus is a bit of a waste. The city is beatufiul, yet they cramped everything in the same spot and all the rest of the town is kinda wasted.
There is a barbershop and BMAH in Boralus?!
No clue on the barber, but BMAH yes. Don’t remember the exact location, but you could get there jumping down the bridge.
