well i have to book well in advance to get my annual leave off work for stuff like this due to team management etc - now we have no idea of the launch date and i doubt ill get to shuffle my annual leave and get shadowlands off for whenever its going ot be
I donāt work, but i can see it from the perspective of those that booked that day off from work.
And all i can say itā¦
Iām so sorry, the ones who booked must have felt betrayed by blizz after the WoWhead article, as āAā Official announcement was at Gamescom.
They shouldnāt even have mentioned a release date, that way peoples wouldnāt have booked in advance.
And not this wowhead article appeared, you must feel like Blizz have lied to you.
And for that iām sorry for the situation youāre in.
I know it sucks, as being there at the very time we can enter the Maw, is something you wanna experience at launch, but now thanks to blizz doing this, those that booked wont have that chance! ((Depending on their job))
thanks yeah i wish it was simple for me to just re-arrange but with the team im in at the company i work for its all about ensure x amount of people are working and no idea when others have already booked off.
because the release is like 11pm my time ive enjoyed that past few expansions waiting online for the switch to hit and then just going all out bashing the new content out with the other 1000s of people doing the same thing - i know some get buggy etc but BFA for me was like 0 issues and i enjoyed playing it fresh
its a mistake in hindsight yeaā¦
last time they delayed was tbc or something
And TBC turned out great.
Just means less lag on launch!
Kidding, I feel sorry for OP, but going ahead with a bad idea just because of the fear of slight backlash on going back on your word is silly. This is the correct move.
Even if you dont like it, you can surely respect it.
They donāt care about the people at all. A joke of a company and completely incompetent. If they cared about those who booked work off holidays they would have at least provided a new confirmed date so the people who can still change the dates can do so.
Why would you ever take days off for the launch experience? Did you not play WoD?
BFA was fine tho and legion had a few little issues but ultimately fine too
^ like this smart elf posted.
many such cases. of planning life to the video game. sad
If they didnāt care, theyād just release an unfinished game on the 27th
Turns out thatās not what theyāre doing
ill promise you, come release, if it turns out superb ill eat my words and admit you were right
Yeah, surely they donāt care when they delay a whole expansion to fix it. If you manage to blame any game developer, not just Blizzard developers, for delays during a world wide pandemic then you are really ignorant.
BFA was bad, couldnāt log in til like 2 Days after.
Legionās launch was smooth af, it didnāt even require a client restart!.
I work from home and have no set day so Iām fine.
Iāve been home working for a few years now.
If it isnāt a broken nonfunctional mess then you need to eat your words, not if it isnāt āsuperbā.
As long they are not hurting nobody and or themselves, people are free to do whatever they want buddy!
who said they cant hunnie?
They do care, thatās why the delayed the release date. Them not announcing it again, so they might have to postpone it for a 2nd time is the correct to do. Iāve never understood people who take days off just to play videogames, but to each their own.
I sure didnāt accuse you.
I just saw you a bit on the pedestal because you donāt book holidays to play wow, maybe travelling around the world sounds fun to you(or whatever you like to do) for some people fun can be also a new expansion in their favourite game.
Stop trollingā¦ why wouldnāt you book time off to do something you enjoy?
Whatā¦ you gonna book time off for a trip in these covid times?
Thereās like nothing else to doā¦
