Boomkin low dps

Hi all,
I have been playing mostly guardian and recently I wanted to try something else.

So I decided to give boomkin a try. And is it hard. My dps is around 20-25k on lower mythics (m5). Which is less than I do on my guardian spec.

I use icy vains build and try to:

1. Make sure moonfire and sunfire is up
2. Try to enter lunar eclipse as fast as possible
3. When in eclipse I will build up astral by using starfire and dump in starfall

Ofc I will butcher the rotation from time to time, but still 20k places me behind a tank which is quite depressing.

Is it just lack of skill with the rotation?
Is it that I should replace more of my guardian gear (I did replace the weapon) not sure how gear looted for guardian behaves for multispec. I see some int when I swap specialisation on it (I have about 6k but not sure if this is to little)

Are you ensuring to track

Your 4 piece set? You need to spend them on starstrike or whatever its called even in ST.

Boomkins damage suffers if mobs dont survive atleast 45 seconds.

Make sure ur double dotting all Adds, steller flare only becomes priority if ur only other option is a unbuffed starstrike.

Boomkins want mastery as BiS followed by haste.

Feral performs better in low keys boomys tend to only do big damage when monsters are living long enough.
