So i’m returning to wow after being away since Dragonflight. I got the warwithin and boosted a Dracthyr Hunter in the main menu, however - it instantly turned into a human hunter?
Anyone else had this or know of a solution?
Are you really a human or are you just in your visage form when you boost?
Dracthyr can switch between two forms, similar to Worgen. The visage form looks almost human I suppose… with a blood/void elf style body.
If its a female one, thats normal. Its like the Worgen. You have the Dragon-Form and the humanoid form, in the female case: Human.
Just log in. You can change everything besides the name in the barbershop whenever you want.
Nope, im a human. 100%. I’ve played an evoker before and this sure ain’t one. I dont have visage. I’m 100% a human hunter. Which is insane because i went through the entire dracthr customize menu etc, clicked “ok” and it went POOF human… I guess im playing this stupid human now. ffs
I managed to speak to support, that was fast!
They’ve said:
- it seems there was an error when applying the character boost, which resulted in your character’s race being changed.
- What I can offer is the option to refund your World of Warcraft: The War Within Base Edition order, allowing you to purchase a new boost. By doing this, your boosted character will be locked until you buy a new character boost and apply it to that character.*
I 100% boosted a Drac and got a human lmao! Anyway, guess i’ll wait for that to go through and do it again

Well at least you know it was a weird bug and not something you did wrong!
If it happens again, ask if they can just give you a free race change so you can fix it

I don’t think they have the tools to do stuff like that anymore. They aren’t really “Game Masters” anymore in the traditional sense, just standard customer service.
Nice that you got a response so quickly though. I’ve always had to wait at least a full day whenever I needed help with something.
At least you had someone helpful from support.
or they could just delete that character and boost something for you / give you a free boost since it’s a game error.

Guess some issues with the new all in one character selector. So at some point it swapped to default selection than dracthyr.
I boosted a character recently. I clicked on the boost icon to create a new character. All said and done with creation and i was ready to finish it and get it boosted when i noticed one of my other alts was auto selected instead.
Had to fight my way through my alt army in order to find the one who i was supposed to boost.
Good thing i noticed before finalizing it.
If the wrong character was boosted by Blizzard’s fault and they were not able to bring it back to what it was before they should have let you continue using it without blocking it …
Have a look at your racials ok, there will be a one that says visage thats whats used to jump between your cool dragon form and halfling human form.
You can also tell by looking at the visage ears bc their elf styled ok.
