Yes currently trying to pushing 1.4k -> 1.6k and 2v2 is filled with rbg hero’s hardstuck on 1.6k
Yeah its really sad that people gatekeep casual players who want to play and improve. I don’t really understand why so many seems to be doing that. People having too much time due to covid or something? I really don’t know.

There is good gold in boosting and it is quite easy, that is why. There is supply and demand (PvErs want gear, PvPers want gold)
Yes. That is my understanding aswell. I guess it on one hand might land blizzard more tokens. On the other hand it is a way to further support illegal gold buying/trading. Doubt there will be a new pvp system that would prevent this. I guess i should be faster with gearing my alt and not start mid season haha
You essentially just confirmed the exact problem with the RBG system after early season is over.
You should be facing equally geared people in rated RBGs, you should have to “sweat” for your win if you are at 2k+, not abuse the system to get a low geared team to make it an easy win.
If you want to play about that’s what random bgs should be for (and arguably even they should have a system of gear)
I don’t disagree that gear is rewarding. Nor am I diluting the effort of 2k+ teams. But imagine at 2k you randomly faced teams with 60k hp(for example) you’d wonder why they had such better gear in your bracket. Once your at the top there is no one longer that massive gear gap.
