Boosting? Classic?

I come in peace.
I just want my answer from Blizzard.

If you write WTS BOOST SM CATH+ARMS - 60 gold for 5 rounds - 160 mobs,
that you are selling boosts for gold in the Service channel, will you be banned?
There are a lot of theories floating around about how Blizzard are handling this on Classic Servers 20th Anniversary, Spineshatter. Please be as clear as possible when you respond to this so that there are no questions about it later on. As you know, I have been banned but that ban is now over. I want a clear answer, and until then, I will wait for a good response from GM.

Gm only respond in game and tickets .no gm comes to eu wow forums to answer your question .your best bet is to make a ticket in classic in game

The year is 2156, Förmögenhet is still waiting for a GM answer on the EU forums..

I’m a GM: Guild Master.
Does that mean I can answer the question now?

No, you shouldn’t get banned for selling services like this.

You will get harassed by the boosting mafia on spineshatter though.

you wont find an answer from a GM on here.

Every time someone whispers me in classic and tries to sell boosts I dont answer and report them for advertising and spam.

Well, it seems they will from the article posted earlier.

In the article it looks like only RMT boosting isn’t allowed, and other non-traditional services (including those offered for gold)

I think this type of boost for gold would fall under the etc in the 2nd paragraph. Individuals and guilds are allowed to sell items, crafted items, profession services, etc. for gold but can only advertise these trades in-game through the Trade chat channel.

I did think it was odd you could do that in retail and not classic.

They banned gdkp on anniversary servers but I believe that’s it. Boosting services for levelling are very popular and wide spread.

Seems ridiculous to me given that classic is about the levelling but I guess that’s a whole other topic.

Hope you got your answer OP: You won’t be banned for advertising boosting with gold if you use the appropriate channel

Many also feel this way. I think i read somewhere when the servers move to TBC they will nerf the XP from these boosts so they wont be viable anymore. I can find discussions about it but can’t for the life of me find the article.

It seems more than likely the changes are to push level boost sales when tbc anniversary is released.

Haha possibly. I won’t be going back either way since they are only on one server and they merge all else. Outdoors is completely unplayable.
