What do you see as winning the game, like the W in P2W stands for? You call wow P2W. Then i want to know what you mean by WIN.
We are here talking about a dungeon boost. Something PVE which is completely for your own progression and your own achievement.
Ahhh here we go back to the philosophy and meaning of life.
I just explained above, but itâs okay, i repeat:
WIN means any type of advantage i can get compared with you (not you personally, a fictional you).
I make the dungeon in 30 min, you need to work hard to do the dungeon: you need to learn your class and rotation and do good dps/heal/tanking to be accepted, you need to progress it slowly by repeating different levels of same dungeon or raid to get gear(you canât jump straight to +20 with normal dungeon gear), you need to find group, you need to join a guild or a group of players that do this type of activity, etc. I can skip all that process that can take weeks, maybe months for new players in just 30 min.
I know you want to minimalise the P2W, by saying: itâs just a simple dungeon, itâs your own progress and achievement, but itâs not. For example to finish all mythic dungeons at +20 or higher, you get a unique achievement and a unique mount. That is a WIN already, because i got it by skipping all the hard work other players do to achieve that. Not to mention that 80% of players donât even reach that stage because they donât have time (real life, family, kids, etc) or canât afford to buy 10 tokens to buy boosts. So that means i am WINNING over 80% of players, i am above them, i got the achievement and the mount, while they didnât.
Is it a good explanation or we go further into philosophy and debate the âconcept of timeâ or the âconcept of grindingâ in games and how skipping with money makes it P2W?
Ahhh and one more thing: 90% of WoWâs playerbase play PvE. Just because itâs PvE, it doesnât mean it canât be P2W.
Right. So this is what I understand from the quote you posted: (A) You wont get your money back. And (B) they will give the scammers a slap in the hand (as if that ever changed anything).
They have been asking for âreports on scammersâ since the dawn of Ever Quest with zero effect.

Fact is : You get scammed, you wont get your $$ back. Its up to YOU to not loose $$ in the first place.

OK. Lets assume you buy a boost for Mythic Raid from some RTWF guild the week after the last boss was killed.
What advantage do you get over someone that did not partake in the boost? Do you get more gear? More power? How much power? Do you become OP all of a sudden?
No you donât. You get a title and a fancy mount. And maybe 1 or 2 items that the rest of the player base will get with the vault in 2 weeks.
If you do what most people do (which is buy heroic boosts for gear)⌠well⌠my statement stands. You just buy less of a hassle of puging the raid. Literally.

Because to me and to many others, P2W is what the Koreans do. With player power attached to it, and impossible means to attain it if you dont pay $$$ for it.

Do i get from Vault mythic raiding items if i do only normal? Do i get +20 dungeon items if i do only HC dungeons? What you talk about? You just talk crap without even knowing what you even talk.
Another example: War Mode. I am full mythic raiding gear, you are full normal dungeon gear. Who wins ?
Another example: i can boost myself to get PvP Gladiator. Can you do the same by your own merit and playing?
Ahhh and you know whatâs funny? You are funny. You say that everything can be done in time and in 2-3 weeks you get everything in vault. Why have you not completed Amirdrassil mythic? I mean itâs almost the end of the expansion. Amirdrassil was released Nov last year. It passed 8 months and you still didnât do it not even once. OpsâŚmaybe you should P2W your way and buy a boost? :)))
If everything is off the table, then whatâs the point to play WoW? Raiding, M+ and collections are the main reason people play WoW. What you talk about ? OmgâŚi canât even understand why i even bother talking with you.

Alrighty,. so to close this down (since i myself cant shut down the post and it has to go away on its own after last one has spoken). after several tickets and talking to difrent gmâs i have finaly got a proper confirmation that the GM who handled my first ticket, did not do a proper job and pretty much shrugged it of with a threat.
Very unprofessional and i cant qote the whole thing on the forums as that is against the rules. but yeah it all have been a whole mess and realy not a thing that should have happend. The boost again is on me and that i choose to trust strangers that i shouldnt have. and the scammer got dealt with as i got a confirmation message by the last GM i spoke to (ofc they do not specify what they did but atleast a punishment of some kind was given) all in all i didnt break any terms of use and i m a good lad still in blizzardâs eyes

It is PVE what we talk about here with a dungeonboost. It is all personal, so there is no comparison to a fictional other person. It is just fast progressing. And on top of that, the boost is only possible because there are a lot of other people progressed further over that PVE-achievement. So buying boosts means being late to the party, if you want to try to compare with any fictional player.
To me boosting is only destroying own personal progressings, but everyone needs to decide for themselves of course. It is only their own game they destroy.
Even though its p2w you dont really win anything imo. Maybe if u buy certain pvp boosts, never looked into how that works. End of the day you are just paying others to play the game for you, why even play it then?

I donât need fictional character when i have you as example. If itâs so easy to get everything in WoW, even if you are late at the party (now we are 8 months late), where is your Amidrassil mythic completion? Or the inspect page is bugged and you already did it 30 times and we canât see it? Or what will you reply now? âohh mythic raiding i donât like, i just do dungeonsâ âŚbecause we both know if someone would say âcome i boost you for freeâ i doubt you will refuse. The only reason you didnât do it is because you got stuck at one of the stages mentioned above: either you are noob and your rotation is bad (aka bad dps) and nobody wants you in their raid, you donât have friends/guild in WoW with who to do progress, you donât have enough time to progress at certain times/hour, daily, weekly because of real life, etc.
Or wait, you wait 3-4 more expansion and then you go solo? :)))

There is only 1 person caring about that achievement and that is me. If i would have it i still didnât have won. It would be my personal progression. Your or anyones game is not changed or influenced by me having a certain achievement.
I would not take a free CE boost. I also declined alt boosts by my friends in dungeons. Some people donât understand the road of playing the game is the fun. Not the end of it.

So u mean every game is p2w nah its not really. Yes u can buy to be boosted, but most people that buyes boosts are people who are not interested in playing together with people, or they find raids too much time consuming wich is tbh. That doesnt mean its p2w. Also why people wants boosts because the m+ scene is toxic like hell so they buy boosts because then its done fast and Quick. If u find that p2w almost every game that is an mmo is P2W.
And for what? If u only buy boosts anyways, whats the point. I guess i will never understand why people buy boosts, I can understand ppl wanting a mount and just buying that boost to get it, but what do u win by doing that? a +1 in your mount collection? Uâll probably never complete that collection anyways, uâll never fill out the pokedex, uâre not winning.
