That’s a great idea tbh, but I hope, they’re gonna be extremely strict with moderating the trade-chat, when it comes to boosts, and also look into people selling them paraphrased.

Hopefully thats the plan. Now everyone should be happy.
Since you will never get rid of boosting anyway, I think this is the best alternative, so trade chat remains for items and real trading.

Unless they actually enforce it the boosters will just be spamming wherever they get the most publicity.

It is. It’s them same principle as legalizing certain drugs in countries like Netherlands. If you make it legal with specific controls, it will even out itself.
I think they gonna moderate channel 2 trade after they put the other one.
So the spam can go the new one which i gonna disable.
Also professions has tons of new mats and items. Hopefully trade chat gonna be lively like the good old times.

So now boost bots just duplicate in two channels, Nothing happens to Boosters at all, no bans, no silences, no bans … Tracking cash boosters for months, no bans.

Bad comparison.
Boosts are what they are because content (and some items from it) changes every season so creates a bit of FOMO, the supply of legal drugs isn’t suddenly changing every 6 months in the same way.
Blizzard refused to deal with them in a way which would have made a real difference to the player base, instead they worked with boosting organisations but only to reduce the amount of RMT that happened.
Final Fantasy 14 has a smaller workforce and a smaller budget and deals with boosters far better.

I think after they put channel 4 in the game, if any booster gonna try spam on channel 2, then they gonna silence it.

Weren’t they going to at least reduce the spam in trade? I’m constantly puked all over with wts whatever things the moment i step in a city.
Can’t see a change, imo was just a pr trick, which lasted how long? 5 days?

They changed that so communites no longer able to. But groups/guild now able to do the same.
But if they gonna put a new channel which is the same funcion with original trade, they probably force booster to advertise there, and the original trade chat can be again for trading items.
We will see.
Is it planned for boosting? Or is it intentionally made for professions?
the channel “4. Trade (Services)” I belive made for boosting services, so people who want to buy boost or advertise, can do it there. While “2. Trade” could return to original item trade or profession advertise.
But first we gonna need to wait some policy changes from blues.
