Boosting in m+/pvp in wow (esp in S2)

Hi,
I would like to say Im saddened by what wow has become, the amount of people getting boosted in m+ for title (or pvp) is discouraging to other people who are solo pushing through LFG. I don’t understand why this is allowed, I know it must bring a decent amount of revenue to blizzard from wow tokens but c’mon… Im totally fine with a company getting extra money from selling cosmetics, this doesn’t affect the quality of the gaming experience for rest of people. I remember like 18~ years ago boosting wasn’t allowed even with gold (I could be wrong). It’s just a pity that my favourite game, has best gameplay, variety of classes and content, but this unfair advantage because people pay more, it just ruins it for honest pushing people and I am afraid it will only get worse in S2 since keys wont be downgraded, lets say boosters got all 18s timed, they will keep boosting with their 18 key without any worries.
People who were 0.11-0.3% top m+ ladder would understand what Im talking about but they are also a very small people that this topic wouldn’t gain enough attention. Boosting should atleast be allowed to +10 keys for vault, anything beyond that just ruins the experience for people. You be surprised how many ppl I’ve seen last season getting boosted through 5-6 top keys in 1 day, which kept raising cutoff and just annoying the rest of us.
Also would be nice if blizzard has clear cut deadlines about season, not killing a season with classic wow, plunderstorm then announcing end of season 11-12 days before end of season and providing confusing hours to end of season 10 PM when it was server shutdown.
edit: there is even a boosting option when reporting someone which would be nice if someone clarify when is that valid to pick, is it only for people who boost with real money?

Are you serious right now???

Boosting has been a thing since the very first month. What isn’t allowed is non-Blizzard-sacntioned RMT.

So you actually dont really remember it.

What a nonsensical post.

Yes you are wrong. Boosting was never disallowed, only RMT were against ToS.

AFAIK boosting reporting is there just for using the LFG tool. It is against ToS to use the LFG tool to advertise services (like advertising boosting inside the group finder).

Generally it was never against ToS, because it was never easy to enforce it. How can you differentiate between playing with a friend of lower skill level and boosting when the money transaction is not apparent?

With so many ways to trade gold or other currencies between players, it was never easy finding where the transaction took place and where it was just players playing together.

But even personally, idc about boosting. If someone wants to buy his way through the game, I do not really mind. The game mode I enjoy (raiding) is not that impacted by that. You can easily spot someone that is boosted, and stay away from that player without any problem if you want to.

yeah if a company wants to earn more n some ppl wanna show off their money for cosmetics stuff I couldn’t care less, but when u pay subscription to play a competitive game, you expect some kind of fairness. It just greedy imo atm to allow boosting just cuz it adds more revenue.

Yes but wow is not a competitive game, it is an mmo.

Everyone does whatever they want to, and choose their content. The achievements are there for you to have a goal and work towards it. Together with that you also have and all the sites that track progress and parse through the game.

The game is not built to be fair and to allow competition, it is built in order for people to waste their time. Both m+, raids, and pvp are built that way that it is 95% commitment and 5% skill. Boosting will never impact the top %, so people do not care about that.
