Don’t think altering the system is a solution, in fact it’d probably just break the experience even more for regular players.
The boosting community is so small that you can probably name them all on a couple of hands. It can be controlled manually, if Blizzard ever decides to, but changing up an already functioning system isn’t the answer
Well, I’m one of them, albeit I quit arenas this season at the start of September. My time is far too limited to sit around and push for Glad this season so I spent the last 6-7 weeks doing casual content and playing random 2s
well I became pve only player in shadowlands so I feel you
I’m pretty sure it would be possible to create a gold solution. But it might be challenging.
I wouldn’t say they are small after effective advertising they do, they are everywhere everyday, every hour and bots are bannable
Based on what? I’ve already explained to you what can be done to solve it entirely (=manual oversight) and what can be done to reduce the impact of it (=lure in a lot more beginners and a lot more regularly).
It can’t be solved by screwing up the system like what you’ve randomly suggested.
I promise you that there are far fewer than you make it out to be. Especially as you go higher, a lot of cheaper and standalone boosters can’t pull the weight of 2 players.
It’s very often the same names you come by, like a certain 25k games played WW player.
TBH Im no longer that worried about it after I read incoming changes in dragonflight, should be MUCH better, the system I came up with randomly in 10 seconds was more to fix shadowlands system which was terrible( considering boosters, but generally It was cool system) with pvp gearing as 2.4k with highest pvp gear would easily boost people.
also I wasn’t saying about solving it entirely but about making changes to lessen amount of boosters or their effectivity, and what blizzard did with gearing is one step forward. just praying they’ll remove or rework the new Precognition pvp talent, or at least change it to pvp trinket
