I really miss all those great threads we had in vanilla and tbc about how horrible boosting is for the game and that those that participate are all evil gold sellers/buyers.

Everyone who cared enough about the game and who wasnt a gold buyer gave up on ever getting their voices heard because they were drowned out by the scum

If they wanted to play with trash they would stay seeing as the DH still plays wrath and he is clearly enough trash to make wrath more trash filled than classic, they went for the bigger market and that should tell you something
I’m on Gehennas on the WoTLK servers, if I turned my public channels on I’d get straight up flooded with GDKP and boost advertisements.
They definitely didn’t follow the Classic playerbase.
I don’t have any global chat channels visible when I play, other than local zones which get very little traffic. How is boosting even done now with the dungeon xp nerf? I’m aware it can still be done for example by a lvl70 mage in Slave pens, but general boosting shouldn’t work.
Other than seeing the occasional mining/herb botter, I don’t see any of this in game. I levelled another Warrior up recently on Mograine server, saw plenty of people levelling in the open world.

That is exactly how its done, you need low lvl alts for each specific boost. You wont find those boosters spamming in world chat, since there is little competition they have way more customers than they could serve anyway. Not to mention, its absurdly expensive.
The boosting spamm is gone from the chats so, to most people it is gone.

I am on Earthshaker, second largest Alliance server, and I have not seen a single “boosting” ad since the start of wotlk. We have some GDKP runs, but far less than SR pugs by volume.
I am on Gehennas, the biggest server on both EU and US. A boost ad shows here and there, but the spam we were used to from earlier Classic expansions is definitely gone. We have some SR runs, but far less than GDKP pugs by volume.
Whats the problem with SR ? (Soft reserve) i get it with gdkp that it is unhealty for the game. But boosting in dungeon i cant figurere out why people is so upset about it. Who cares if Someone gets boosted in a dungeons instead or questing or grp play ? The game realy starts when u get to max level so who cares if u buy a boost from blizzard or get a friend to help you ?
There is a significant subset of people who like the levelling part of Classic WoW. To them, dungeon boosting is somehow even more offensive than just buying max level boost from Blizzard.
I personally don’t find anything wrong with it as long as no real money is involved. You have basically 2 player groups that only partially overlap, those who like the levelling process and those who think WoW begins at max level. Both are personal preferences and can’t really be proven wrong, since Blizzard themselves focus on both, generally levelling in first patch of an expansion and end game in all the following.
Yea But those who like the leveling part Will do quest/lore regardless of people boosting.
I agree with real money part. Just as of the changes made by blizzard my favorite part of helping friends ingame is gone. Ive always been the fast leveler in the grp.
So for me to not be able to help them out in anyway i Can is just misplaced focus from blizzard. And the wrong Way to tackle it. In my opinion. The make a general “fix” that hurts all instead of just those They want to hit.

Unfortunately, my tank of madness is not endless and there are plenty new things to be mad about.
For me that depends on the kind of boosting. Someone boosting their friend is better, someone boosting others for gold is the same, someone boosting others for real money is worse.

As someone who would never buy any kind of boost and hates people who are using boosting services of any kind.
Boosted by the player is much better than boosted by paying to blizzard. But both are lame.
I would rather have the possibility to be boosted by other players than create some new mechanic to prevent kiting, etc., in dungeons and ruin fun and experimenting for everyone (I do not do some big pull shanigans, but I can understand it is fun for someone).
I was never mad. only tired. I think have now silences all booster-sellers. I level in peace.
And tired of repeating, repeating, repeating same complains only be shouted down by end-gamers.
