He did it with a rdruid. Also, he and his mates had to start at 0 as well at some point. Remember, I didn’t bring the match up to compare his and my gear, we been kinda equal geared teams in this scenario, they had way more experience than us tho and still lost. My question was how is it possible when people, who claim to deserver higher rating, struggle vs one booster meanwhile there are people winning vs two multi glads?
Wdym?
I am sorry that I am not willing to start a new druid every time I want to play one with a friend who is trying out a new char. Are you willing to level my druids every time that happens? Do you want to solve this “issue”?
But let’s talk about this quick. What am I supposed to do to not be an “issue” anymore? I can’t play at higher cr cause there are barely any people to play with and the people who are at this cr want to play with meta classes only.
If I am playing with friends I am an issue.
If I am helping people to get their rating, I am an issue.
So what am I supposed to do? Start a new char every single time when I hit max gear? Is that what you are saying?
Also, why exactly do we ignore the fact that I got to 220+ gear on several chars, meanwhile also started from scratch, me and my mates?
It kinda contradicts my experience. Besides the fact that there are barely any boomkins past 1,4k and your monk is 1,5k by now.
A regular convoke setup is: root + beam heal → stun kill target → convoke with all cds
If you are rooted and beamed, you are not going to get hit by convoke. That means your warrior has to trinket, not you. So why am I saying convoke is easy to counter (except for 1 comp for low rated people)? Because it lines perfectly with the trinket. That means even if one of you fails, there is still one trinket on your team available to stop convoke. Also, the second convoke is not going to hit as hard as the first one if the boomkin is using it on cd. That means you can basically pretty much fail as much as you want, pop all cds and stop it, line it, live it and repeat it again, every single time, kinda.
I wish I could watch your matches vs rogue/mage at 1,8k mmr on your <200 ilvl priest if convoke was that big of a deal at 1,4k lul^^
Tbh, I’ve met a lot of boomkins double dps (1 boomy and 1 other dps class), one or two with a healer. Although it’s not the most common play I go against, it was a common sight when I did pvp today at least, probably different otherwise.
And well, he’s not overly great at PvP unlike PvE, by the time convoke hits he doesn’t really have what is needed for it or doesn’t react quick enough.
And I actually managed on my holy priest months ago when I did pvp on it. But I have a lot of stuff that kind of prevents one shots which is nice.
I can’t say I fully remember the pattern of the convoke but I did manage to paralyze just as one of them convoked. But yea one boomy I met had around 41k HP, did 50% of my HP with one starsurge outside Convoke (had burst on though).
We can do better to counter it, I don’t wanna speak for him based on his perspective against convoke. But it does do a lot of damage in the small time it is cast. I’ll make sure to specifically tell him to save cc for the convoke. ^^
I mean I have over 3k arena games by now, “a lot” has a different meaning for me probably.
I expect a warrior, who got 1,8k xp, to have stormbolt and/or leap + reflect ready for exactly this scenario, because he is not needing it until convoke was popped. I don’t feel this is hard or complicated for someone who got more complicated mechanics to follow in a mythic raid
Lmao. Yea could just be that his PvP sense is not nearly as good as his PvE sense is. I do see that he has used die by the sword and shout for Convoke unless those were forced before then, but the pressure is still immense.
And yea I haven’t done a whole lot of arenas today, so probably does hold its own weight for you compared to mine.
I am also using my cc for the healer, but I could see that I could line, roll in when they convoke and paralyze or something.
I did meet a zandalari boomy today though, he immediately convoked out of stealth, didn’t cc me or anything. That I survived at least but did a lot of dmg still xD
A 1500 player destoyed by someone 1000+ rating above them won’t even think about these things, especially when there’s a gear difference meaning they did quite literally get deleted by burst. This argument works when there’s a couple hundred rating difference between the two players, not when it’s that massive. It’s kinda like you put someone who only just about knows how the chess pieces move against a grandmaster and expect them to know how they got annihilated in less than 10 moves.
