For some people it is, for other people it isn’t. If i want to raid and i want to challenge myself, progress and learn the fights i am not going to buy a boost.
Everyone who got curve bought it through a boost??? wow i had no idea. Where is this information stored so i can go take a look?
Honestly it was just a gross generalisation that you shouldn’t bother reading into. Most posts have it. Fact is that boosts are hella popular and it does hurt the game, but it’s up to the players to fix i imagine.
I think it is simply a matter of perspective. For some it might be like buying a loaf of bread. Why would you go through the hassle of making it yourself when you can just buy it and be done? I sort of get the mentality if you just want the mount and so many boosts are readily available. And for those who want to pug the raid every week but didn’t get curve the first two weeks or so, it’s probably a quite sensible solution
But yeah, I get you too. I don’t buy them myself, feels like cheating in a way! If I’m that interested in something, I should just up my game and work for it. But that goes for me, I don’t care what others do.
Usually it takes months of progression to get curve. Or you are in a mythic raiding team. In the normal world people first need to gear up and progress normal and after that start heroic. Like my guild will start this week with heroic.
Of course! But asking for Curve with pugs very early on in a patch has been a thing for ages now. I’m sure boosters are happy about it lol.
Oh yes, that definitely exists. But the majority of the groups aren’t. The amount obviously grows the longer the season goes on. This is for sure not a 2 weeks thing.
Maybe but at the end of the day i never really get why it bothers people.
My guild went through and got curve this season and we are working on Mythic bosses now, but i dont really care how other people got it.
I guess if people are expecting to recieve some sort of adulation for killing Heroic then to see other people getting it through a boost might damage their ego but really if you worked for it and got it it doesnt matter what everyone else did.
Dont really see how it hurts the game though.
No pve mount has any flexing value nor is rare.
Try gladiator mounts.
Why do you ask? Not everyone of course, but way too many people. Many people have just one kill on HC and it’s last boss. It their logs on fyrak grey and just one kill
“gross” generalization? Yes, I definitely exaggerated, but it’s not far from the truth. I never truly meant everyone buy the boost.
But if you did it yourself, why does it matter to you that other people got a boost?
Because that boost takes like 10 minutes, not much of gold and you get an achievement mount that can fly in dragon isles.
There are no other boosts like this.
But if you already earnt it how does it hurt your gameplay?
BTW im not trying to be contrary, i genuinely dont understand why people feel upset about what other people do.
Pugging heroic fyrak is not that easy. Some people just got lucky and present it as a norm
I did rhythmic gymnastics professionally when I was young, so I can’t understand the concept of paying for achievements or medals.
Hmm. I guess it sounded better in my head. My bad
And that is something to be proud of, a real life achievement… I guess i just dont understand it in the context of pixels…
I kinda get the achievement for being world first to kill something in low level gear but i could never imagine basing my in game enjoyment on measuring it against some random person i dont know…
Lol yeah, that’s the case. Nice projection, Buddy
This game is no competition. It is a game. Medals are achieved by competitions.
These boosts exist so more people buy tokens, achievements mean nothing, and you going to eat that and attack anyone who talks about this problem. Ridiculous
Now that is really an achivement to be proud of , the practice and energy needed for that and so beautiful and skilled well done you.
