Why getting the mount if most of the people who use them, just bought the curve? It doesn’t look like achievement anymore and doesn’t look appealing at all. Does anyone else have the same feeling about curve mount?
(Perspective of a person who is into M+ mostly)

Fyrakk isn’t even hard, so it’s kind of irrelevant if people buy boosts to get aotc or not.

I’m only care if I get it, and for me it doesn’t matter if others got it and which way they got it.

With the difficulty bloat the game currently has ( lfr , normal , heroic , mythic ) , i don’t even think aotc means anything anymore even ce barely means anything.
I got what you saying tho , its mmorpg. Achievements should matter but heroic is the new normal. The moment that thing jumps into mythic which i doubt it will ( we all know mythic boosting exists but its same as glad boosts not everyone gets them ) then it will become a problem.
Pay others to play game for you
You have numbers on this?
Tbh, you could make that argument for literally every AOTC mount. You have always been able to buy a boost for it. Same goes for KSM mount.
I don’t get AOTC to flex on the mount, I use it if it is cool and I like it. For me, AOTC is just a personal achievement I try to get every tier with my guild, the mount is just a neat little bonus on top of it.

Not me. I don’t particularly care about what others have unless it’s something pretty and I’d go and get it if still obtainable(and basically everything other than the mage tower weapons is to me). I don’t know why you’d wanna get boosted but clearly some do and there’s a market for it. If you want that gone i assume you have to take it up with them as this isn’t exactly against the terms of service.

In pugs it can be pretty hard, but if it’s not hard then they shouldn’t buy boost
Yeah, I don’t mean it’s somehow different. It’s just for me, because basically I just now realized that people buying them
I started to play in SL and didn’t know it’s that common.
KSM mount can’t be even used for flying so I don’t really care about it, if you get this purely from boost, it will be probably 3x times more expensive that fyrak HC, and 20 times longer? or idk exact price.
Alright. Maybe that’s the problem then. I don’t really like it, most mounts look same in this expansion. And on top of this, everyone just paying for boost.
Sadly that’s partly the community’s fault for asking for a curve to even pug normal, not to mention heroic. Some feel like they have a chance to get invites if they do that. It’s sad, really, but I’ve never seen practice group finder raids outside of guild runs that are rarely there. (although i don’t pug raids anymore, that’s what i remember seeing)
Also I wonder why are boosts that popular? Do they cost so little? Maybe under 100k for a run? That’d probably help even more with making people feel like it’s a fine thing to do
Eh, not really? I’ve pugged my kills.

I think that heroic is around 150k. It’s pretty cheap if you ask me.
Btw, never saw people ask curve for normal, and if I make my own group, honestly, I rather look at ilvl+Rio+logs.
Not everyone has time to invest on HC raid or they’re not that interested in it and just wanna see the end of it and get the mount while at it. Or the just want the mount and considering how “cheap” it is really in the end to get, why not just buy a boost and be done with it.
Otherwise it’s sometimes really hard to get into a pug group, lot of other people running it and if you don’t have achi already. Well you might luck out but might take quite a while and people with long work days don’t got time for waiting.

Why people buy the boost then? I mean, they should just forget it.
That’s probably the best way to go for it, but it takes time i imagine :c
Definitely a thing that happened a lot in shadowlands, i haven’t pug raided since the fated season. (or raided at all until this raid where a guild found me and decided to adopt me :') )
Ohh, actually thinking about it, one reason for people buying boosts is the story lock.
2 patches in a row now, the story is locked by… raiding. So anyone who can’t or doesn’t want to raid would have to wait over 5 weeks to see the story

I just wrote why they would buy it
And some just want the mount and for that price it’s not pricy. If you buy boost for the Fyrakk it can be less thant the expedition Yak.

I am not sure how it is killing the desire to play the game you like to play. Just do not care about others and have fun.
I don’t like raiding and if do, just for gear or would consider doing it for achievement.
I still don’t understand what you try to say. You choose to play the game like you want. Others choose their way.

Yeah, true, I guess buying the boosts is the way of playing the game.
