Doesn’t care about curves, and that mount isn’t very pretty.
some like it, and others like me think it’s downright ugly
But yeah, don’t have any figures, but think the majority have paid for it, especially those who are not in a guild.
But again, it’s entirely up to them how they want to spend their money, there are also REALLY many people who buy m+ boost, but again, it’s entirely up to them if they want to buy some gear
I’m well aware of how boosting works. It’s not a new concept to the game.
And certainly final boss of the expansion limited time mount drops have been a thing for some time, since WoD.
No one here is denying that boosting exists. But to presume every person you see is boosted is daft. Lots of players kill Fyrakk without paying any gold.
Maybe even MoP, we had a wolf mount. Hmm.
I just meant that I’m never going to be doing the keys that top players do. I’m not going to see a 30/31 key, which seem to be the highest timed runs atm.
I’m not going to change to a meta spec, I’m a one trick Puny and I am no where near skilled enough. Great respect for those players tho.
Literally said in my post that most people who have curve are boosted. Yes, most people are having boosted curve.
I think the thought of your own performance will always be relatively valued with the top end, and that is honestly not very fair You are now 3k and that is a very very very good achievement. Nothing average about it. There are tons of players trying to get there and never will reach it. That amount is actually way bigger than the top end where you are comparing with, or looking at. I do understand it though. +24 is far away from +31.
Yeah I’m moreso commenting on the way you chose to evaluate yourself as “average” when your io score puts you in the top 5% of people engaging with mythic+, let alone the total population of players which is significantly larger. Some might say you’re “out of touch” or “putting yourself down” for such a comment, however I think it’s more about what metrics we as players see as useful for our own self evaluation.
Exactly, you are the perfect example of how on the forums in particular people presume everyone else is buying boosts.
Aye, that depends. If average for that key level, then… Maybe?
Ah I see, in those terms. Yeah on the chart I’m above average, that’s true. It’s really just my own assessment of myself.
I am well aware of the stats because I frequently quote them at people, particularly on the forums. There is a tendency to misunderstand the bulk of the playerbase and what level they play at.
Not necessarily. WoWs maybe a bit of an abstract example, something like magic or league or chess its easier to understand.
It’s the same principle as the rather paradoxical statement “the average player is terrible”.
It has always sounded so silly to me but it makes sense, kinda, if you take ALL into account
I remember reading somewhere that when they did a survey of drivers, the bulk rated themselves a better than average driver. It’s funny how people perceive themselves.
It’s also why we have an entire academic field dedicated to defining what an average is
It’s a confidence thing I guess. Or maybe too much focus on the others and not enough on oneself
I am most certainly going to be picky if I can influence group composition. I’m definitely not taking a frost mage to waycrest manor with all the glacial spike assassinations on the MC target I’ve witnessed in previous keys.
Doesnt matter much to me.
When I killed HC fyrakk with my guild, we felt good about the acomplished goal.
Don’t care that there are 500 people who got CE or 500 people who bought it with their .
I play for myself and not to “prove something to some random internet John”.
It depends what you mean by picky.
For example, common sense means I will pick certain things. Like I don’t want an all melee comp, some healers are also classed as melee. It’s not fun for certain mechanics and melee certainly don’t want volcanic on the mobs/boss. Or last week it’s preferable to have at least one other class that can deal with the affix and help dispel it.
However if you mean wanting a meta comp, then no ofc that’s not relevant below +20.
Mostly that. I get wanting not to have the same type of dps though.
So whats the issue with how people get it? If it doesnt matter, then it doesnt matter how they get it surely?
