Boosting service still allowed?

Hi

Was it Season 4 that trade channel was no longer allowed to be spammed and they got their own channel

Or was it not till Dragon Flight that this was to be implemented?

Boosting is allowed.

Advertising it isn’t.

Prepatch afaik.

Boosting will still be allowed, it is advertising they have an issue with.

yeah what I meant in trade channel

still allowed?

As far as I recall selling through trade, currently, is still allowed with some limits:

The usual, no mass spamming the channel.
You can only advertise runs with the character you will be participating in the boost with. You cannot use low level alts or alts on other realms to advertise unless those alts will be in the boosting group. Otherwise you can be reported for it.

Allowed or not, do you think Blizzard monitors the chat ? Or do they even check reports ?

Advertising not allowed on LFG but it’s filled with boosting ads. If they really did something about advertisers, we wouldn’t see them there. I don’t believe trade chat will be fixed ever, even after whole different channel dedicated only for boosters.

Yes
It is a trade
Their in game time for your in game gold
As long as they don’t spam and don’t ask real money? Yes. The Trade is the ONLY “legal” platform and to be honest the place of the service-sell

I tried to find the original post but came up empty. But I was also under the impression it would be S4 they would get their own channel to advertise in. May have been pushed back to either pre-patch or new xpansion.

is this written somewhere? Can only find “This policy update does not restrict individuals or guilds from using the provided in-game tools (“trade channel” chat) to buy or sell in-game items or activities for in-game currency.”

It deserves a ban if it’s spammed in general

But since you can turn off trade channel I see no problem

That change is from patch 9.2.7, like region AH. Season 4 has started but we are still on 9.2.5

ty for sharing. really confusing to track all rules if you want to boost.

Yes, sadly Blizzard isn’t really good at making things clear or collect their posts into a single thread of some sort.

I literally had to do a search in google three different way until I stumbled into said post.

Strange. If all the boosting is fine (with rules) why not add a Vendor to sell the items for Gold and be done with it?
What is the point of going through the process of selling/buying boosts?
