I get that its a thing to make a thread about every word that may have a naughty connotation but it got old about a month ago. It was probably funny the first 100 threads, but this isn’t even your first on this… 
And Azeroth isn’t the “modern world”. And even in the modern world there are still plenty of pirates. Off the coast of Somalia for example and software piracy is a thing. I know they don’t all have peglegs and parrots and make you walk the plank and stuff, but ya’know…

I think its wholesome, but you would need a historican to tell which meaning was the original
so either modern man used it metaphorically
or pirates did for their treasure
