BOP items and Warbands

Hi
Could you explain how BOP items work with Warbands?

I just did a run in Molten Core with a mage, and I got some Hunter set pants that I don’t have in my collection, but they still aren’t showing up in the Hunter’s collection.

Weren’t all BOPs supposed to be account-wide?
Is this feature only available in the Expansion and not in the pre-patch?

Not played it to test it out yet but I believe BoPs for other armor sets their appearances get unlocked when you sell them.

Class specific sets DO NOT get unlocked though, you’ll need to unlock those with a character of that class itself.

At some point they promised us that you can send tier pieces to right alts, so dunno what happened.

Ooh then that was the issue… Molten Core set gear is class specific… that’s why… thanks!

While they made such a huge change they could have just done a pass on all the raids and whether bosses drop individual items or tokens or meta-tokens etc and just brought it all under a system where every drop can be used or sent to a character it is useful to.

Standardize tier drops!

What about the tokens that are generally 3 classes?

Try to put a class item in your Warband bank and use it on a relevant character once the bank will be working.

It makes no sense at all.

You cannot unlock tier items that are class specific (f.e. molten core sets) but tokens are Warbound and can be mailed and converted to sets. Logic.

It seems only teir tokens are warbound? all the rest of the epics raid stuff I pre-farmed is just soulbound…

Those are already BoA so I’d imagine they can go into your Warbank, or just mailed.

As I can see, tokens can be transfered to the Warband Bank, at least they are not greyed as other items that you can’t transfer (hope they fix the Bank soon and I can try it so I will be 100% sure)

Oh right didn’t know that

Yeah, I went to Onyxia, to get some of those old transmogs…however i dont get the transmog for the priest items and cant transfer them.
Its a shame, since most raids will have tokens, that are able to be transfered between characters.

I know its a minor issue, but should be easy to fix.

Ok so what is the fix for your warband is already using the bank lol…

Make BOP items warbound instead

If the item that drops looks like a token of some sort, it can be put in the Warband bank and used by the other class (when the Warband bank works…)

If the item that drops looks like a piece of clothing (boots, shoulders etc) and has Class: Warrior / Druid etc, you’re basically out of luck if it’s not your class. Molten Core sets are an example, but there are others, like in Legion raids for example. You can’t learn these and you can’t send them anywhere. Vendor or d/enchant, or store them in the bank for when Blizzard gets round to reverting this senseless restriction.

TLDR: If the tooltip says Class: Warlock on it and it’s a piece of clothing, only a warlock can learn the appearance.

Yeah, and it is this part that should be changed tbh. Make me able to transfer the item via the bank to my warband characters, just like the tokens.
As said, its a minor thing, and should not be high on the priority list, but it is easy to fix at some point.
