can you stop? make everything tradable. remove cooldowns while you at it
BOP ? Bind On ⌠?
Pick up. ^^
Freaking expulsom should have been account bound -_-
Expulsom should have been tradable in general
everything should be. Sargerite and blood of sargeras as well. everything in the game just like it used to be period
just hate how i am stuck with professions cause of expulsum. really makes me hate professions a bit.
less soulbound more stuff to sell more wow tokens <3
Its not hard to get, but very tedious.
Spam tailoring or leatherworking bracers, and keep scrapping them. Takes a long time, but its cheap and gives you quite a bit, and then you get mats back from scrapping and then make more bracers.
They are not soulbound, so you can make and send them to a character you want expulsum on.
Or use that âworthless and uselessâ Nazjatar WQ/Emissary reward, the Pearls
Buy benthic, scrap them with the machine
Usually every 4-5th yields an expulsum
Plus sometimes there is a WQ up for 5 expulsum and on Mechagon too at the flightpoint sometimes gives 5
I can understand the use of cooldowns to keep a rarity to something.
But the BoP reagents is really annoying. I have so much Expulsom on characters without crafting
Especially aside from trinkets, it is RNG based when you some from the shredder -___-
or or you know⌠make them tradable
The reason it isnât is to slow down mass production of certain items. Also, tradeskill cooldowns are there so the economy doesn;t crash / get over run.
For example; Transmute: Herbs to Anchors - Gives you a bag with mostly Anchor Weed.
It has a 24hr CD, this stops the price of Anchor Weed taking a nose dive, meaning that transmute has a place outside of âI need Anchor Weed to make this itemâ.
Was the same in TBC with Mooncloth and Shadowcloth and it meant that people specialized in each type of cloth had a place in the economy. If you just open it all up, the price of everything drops, if the price of everything drops, people have less gold to spend as it doesnât circulate.
Nope, Acc bound is the worst thing you could possibly do to a core part of the professions.
People tend to forget that crashing a server economy through character transfers is a bannable offence and that BOA stuff makes it free.
Just an example : Alch expulsom transmut allows you to craft expulsom at a fifth of the cost without spending any time on the scrapper.
Just create an army of alchemist, buy herbs at low price on a full pop server, craft dozens if not hundreds of expulsom every day from the transmut and assault every european servers with your crafts, at a price that no one beside ppl like you with 40+ alts can match.
So BOP or tradable, but certainly not BOA. What is on your server economy should stay in your AH, not plague the whole region.
Waste of your gold and time tbh. Every BFA gear has a 1/6 chance to give expulsom once scrapped, you donât get more from epics than from greens (well different mats for the 8.0 & 8.1 ones but thatâs about it). But benthic can be DE by enchanters (even lvl1 ench, just gotta be 120 to open the BOA token) to get veiled cristals (1.4 per epic + 2 umbra if you have the tool of the trade)
on my server selling one veiled crystal allows me to craft ~12 linen bracers so two expulsom, while youâd get only 1/6 by scrapping the benthic gear.
Consider making a taillor for Tidespray linen bracers or a lw for green bracers if the mats are cheap enough. Linen if often cheaper to craft tho.
Itâs essentially another form of âtime gatingâ [not really], basically to slow down people from being able to craft the best item quickly. They shouldnât be BoP after a few months into their content tbhâŚ
As a collector of transmogs, these BoP materials freaking suck.
I hate BoP resources, makes leveling profession a dread and it makes it even more dread on alts. Artificial gate that is just there to keep you in-game hating it.
What you propose isnât a solution, itâs adapting to the bad situation that should never have been allowed on live servers. Expulsom is plain time & effort tax that should never exist in the first place, the game worked fine without BoP scrap materials until Legion. No obliterum/expulsom/blood of sargeras/whatever: here, problem solved! Being able to potentially do something game-breaking using crafting materials should cause devs to ask why would be this game-breaking thing possible in the first place, and figure out how to prevent this, say by only allowing up to X crafting materials per character when transferring, or just deleting everything not soulbound/cosmetic etc. - if itâs easily obtainable, you can get it again, and if itâs 100 boe epics that are not SB, well what were you waiting for to sell them, alt-friendly expac?
Having several alts I find BFA professions to be massive pain in butt due to BoP cores that just wonât drop and BoP expulsom that has to be made by character using it. Would very much prefer such items to be not bound in any way, because Iâm paying anyway, either with gold, or with time i.e. rl money. The really good stuff, like say legendary items that ONLY the crafter can use, would be only acceptable place for BoP crafting materials. Otherwise itâs baaad game design, just another wheel for hamsters to run in, until they say âenoughâ and take over the world
What solution ?
Just pointed out that BOA profession mats are a terrible thing. If you want to allow people to abuse and destroy server economies for their own benefits in a far more scale than what is currently possible, thatâs the way to go.
The alch transmut would be a huge issue, but even if it was removed it wouldnât prevent players from buying low on one server and destroy the economy of another one, preventing anyone not applying this method to benefit from their server AH.
Itâs similar to the tool of the trades : Only the most efficient way to do something manages to earn some profits. You need rank 3 recipes and the TotT in Alch to even dream about earning gold from it. Same for enchanting as the increased mats you get from the tool are too valuable to ignore (basically double everything)
Only this time you changed the barrier of entry from a rank 3 recipe and a short questline to having dozens of alts running a daily transmut or being spread across all servers to cherry pick the cheapest matsâŚ
It doesnât have to be some kind of xpack main regeant really, even if it was something as basic as monelite ore having it BOA would be an issue. Players were banned for transfering characters with tokens, filling their banks with tons of cheap BFA mats from on server then earning millions by selling all of it on another. BOA just legitimise that and reduce the cost of entry (iirc you gotta earn nearly 2M gold to pay for the double transfer, anything past that is pure profits).
Couldnât care less if there wasnât any expulsom or similar stuff in future expansion. My point is that âBOA Xâ is just thrown around as a convenient solution altho itâs worse than the original issue.
What is on your server should stay on your server. Offers more diversity and makes things more fair for everyone involved.
I meant the part about âhow to not go crazy & get decent amount of Expulsomâ as solution, it works (if you call 1/6 RNG working), but should not be necessary in the first place as the whole mechanic of Expulsom is bad timegate. Just removing the whole damn thing would be better, as the problem didnât exist before. Imagine there is no expulsom or any other BoP cores, bloods, primal sargerite or what have you needed to craft anything, just good old non-bindable stuff, period. Suddenly no problems with crafting materials being BoP, you can buy the item or get mats & craft it yourself, and no crashing server economies just because someone suddenly put over 9000 somethings on AH. AH is already cross-faction, should be cross-realm too, in the long run the prices would stabilize at some value and then goblins could start calculating how to profit again. And perhaps the professions could be useful to something else than downtime/goldmaking/crafting stuff to DE or scrap
What is on your server should be available to sell/buy everywhere, so there would be no point in this sort of AH griefing. Because if itâs possible to sidestep, Limit & Co will do it anyway if it offers them a tangible advantage, jumping through any money hoops they will have to, leaving everyone who canât throw around this sort of money with bad taste.
