Why does it take blizzard months to ban these super obvious bots?
Currently got 4 bots farming shadow primals in void ridge in hellfire for over a month, same 4 characters really obvious bots.
Send reports, nothing happens for months…or they get banned and they allowed to come back …
We need IN GAME GM’s…MORE IN GAME GM’s…
only then do not be offended that the cost of a subscription has risen in price
Ya kidding right? I am sure they can afford it…they probably spend more on toilet roll than support staff salary costs right now…

Unfortunately, this is so. you should study the question of bots in more detail. I know you don’t understand me, but bots help the game more than they hurt. The fact is that bots are a kind of inflation-retaining mechanism. Plus, they don’t let items disappear from the auction so anyone can restock their supplies of consumables at any time. Blizz knows this and won’t do anything to bots.
if the report starts to work, then many players will start to abuse this system to suppress competition. understand me?

we all buy goods at auction cheaper than it could be. I don’t use bots. market prices of goods suit me. but you are most likely complaining because of competition and super low prices

Ok bot defender. They should be banned they are not playing the game but using automatic programs and leave them running 24/7…
Everything else after that is just pointless opinion and discussion of a non starter.
your grief is understandable, you do not get extra profit from the sale of goods at auction, because bots sell cheaper.

I don’t care about how much stuff sells for, I care that when I wish to play the game and farm ANY AMOUNT OF GOLD, I can’t half the time because the mobs are over farmed by bots…leaving none to actually kill…to make ANY GOLD.
So the price BS and inflation BS and bots helps this or that BS you are spouting…
Means nothing to the average player…
Perma Ban bots and have active GM’s in game, problem solved.
Report bots and write ‘afker in bg’ in the comments and they will get banned guaranteed.
Won’t be permanent but it’s better than what they’re doing now.
How you can tell someone is bot even?
At least this one bot I’ve been reporting since Classic Vanilla seems to have gotten a ban recently, lol.
Some examples:
They don’t react when you taunt a mob off them and pull it away from them. They often stand there all confused, maybe turning randomly (if melee class).
They don’t respond to questions, but will only say things randomly like “:)” “O_o” “hi” “yes” “no”.
They only move in a certain way and repeat the same behavior, and if they would accidentally pull an elite they try to kill it just like any other mob and not try to run away even when they clearly can’t kill it.
If you attack them they basically act like you’re a mob.
Oh, and most of them just farm the same spot ALL DAY and are still using some “communal” gear even at level 70.
Even if you corpse camp them for 30 minutes they don’t try to run away. Actually one time the bot suddenly changed behavior and started using some CC on me and tried to escape so it was super obvious that a person took control of the character to save his bot from me, lol.

No. Maybe if it happened once but that’s not the case. Maybe 1 in 1000 is some autistic human player who just plays like that, but I don’t think so. I will keep reporting when I see them and sometimes they’re suddenly gone and I get the “thx for reporting” mail from Blizz.

Example 70 old dude playing so bad apparently was banned for being bot.
I don’t believe that. There’s a huge difference between being bad and being a bot. Why would a 70 year old dude boost a character and level it to 70 just to farm the same spot all day? At least the bots I reported were like that. It’s not just that they are bad. There are certain robotic movements and repetitive action you can see as well. It’s just obvious when it’s really a bot. You can stop defending your bots now
