Is Blizzard actually trolling us ? there are 3-6 bots in every wsg i enter at the 70-79 bracket !

Bots are everywhere, they are in caves farming 23/7 without any action taken on reports. There are bots herbing, bots mining and trading bots playing the AH.
Honestly, I do not think blizzard will take care of this problem. Its incredibly disheartening when you know your time is getting de-valued by automation. Prices driven lower, people in full honor gear without having played a game, etc.
Just an absolute mess.

They don’t care tho. Bots pay the sub also, its more profits for blizz.
The bots also pay thier sub. Blizz care about profit more thsn your player experience. They have a incentive to keep the bots. That being said i also wish they would nuke em all but that’s an unlikely outcome imo.

I don’t think they have enough staff to deal with bots at the moment. Bgs and mining herbing spots are all full of bots and I see the same people for over a week now, not banned.

This proves to be right as I see the same bots, even auction house bots, every day for the past 2 weeks.

It’s an interesting problem - bot farming .
Nobody ever really looks at both sides - they complain that they are competing for nodes and can’t farm efficiently - and I assume they are either farming t craft or farming to sell on AH - which is what the bots are doing.
A high amount of mats on the AH drive down prices - that’s not a bad thing for the average player who wants to farm gold through dailies / questing and simply purchase the materials - in many respects driving the AH cost down is a good thing for those players.
It’s a bad thing for players using it as a time sink for G but there are lots of other ways of making G in the game.
Blizz do ban bots - always have - they do it in ban waves - but when a new sub is created they have no way of knowing if it is a bot or a player - they use software to trace automation and gather player reports - they will always be a step behind.
Do I personally care about bots farming - no I don’t - I can gather my own cloth and skins and if the time to farm gathered materials is high because of bot activity I’ll run some dailies for G instead - because the AH price will be low.
Its an issue that has existed for nearly 20 years - it’s not worth the airtime it gets

It doesn’t mostly mean that the prices go down sadly. Prices are exactly the same on my server, it’s just that it’s impossible to farm with all the bots around for people who ACTUALLY PUT TIME AND EFFORT IN IT to make some gold, say, to buy fast flying.

I’m not condoning it - but it is a 20 year old problem.
If no bots were there there would just be more players there - the farmer would have the same issue - and it does drive down the cost on AH - that’s how economies work.
At level 80 you’ll can earn a healthy amount of G doing your dailies and farming G through instances and mob kills
the bots in bg’s are impossible to ignore they are affecting every game and ruining the fun

Its just an honour farm - and as they are easy to kill it should be better for you.
Some of us have been around the block a bit and not interested in just progression raiding. I like to pvp in BGs because its fun and can be challenging, I dont care about rewards so much. I could care less about harvesting bots or the ones farming low dungeons, they shouldnt be there but at least its not directly affecting my gameplay.
Dude stop defending something obviously bad. Overall, bots only take from the game for the profit of their pitiful owners, the game would be better without them, no discussion needed.

completely agree here, even if they have some small benefit indirectly its not worth it, its so immersion breaking and just stupid to see sooooo many bots. i was leveling in sholozar and its just sad… it actually made me kinda sad about how lame it is to see all those stupid bots flying around. it felt like some p2w free to play eastern mmo that had no players left.
but the worst part is the BGs. especially at night its just nothing but DK bots in starter gear fighting other bots in the middle. it ruined WSG for me which was my favorite BG and i really hope it gets better at 80 cause this is just sad
