Theres two ways to to fight bots in games. Hire people and ban bots rn.
Or.
Make an illusion of bot hunting by automating entire process.

The same thing happened in dragonflight and it killed gathering toward the end of the expansions there as well, they made all those annoying elemental nodes, damaging spores, EZ-mine bombs, cursed posion to “punish” or deter botters but it doesn’t matter, you see clusters of 5-6 green geared druids flying around hallowfall every day picking up that 20000 ore bismuth dump sold at 80% of the bottom
