Bought a name change, wasn't applied

I bought a name change (for this character im typing with), the payment processed and everything.
Upon buying the name change, the name was not instantly applied, meaning that if I left the placeholder alt with the name I wanted undeleted someone else would be able to snag the name.

After some time, I got the “error name change” next to the name on the character selection screen.
Today this error was gone, but no name change has been applied.
I have opened a ticket, the wait time is… 13 days (is this a joke?).
Now I got 2 questions.

  1. Why in the world does a name change you buy not simply work in the same way as when a character receives a forced name change for whatever reason, instead of having to put in the desired name, which is NOT applied instantly and means that anyone can snag your intended name during this period.

  2. When and how will I get my name changed to the desired name now.

In general, this error can happen if there is an issue with the payment. It would need to be looked into via a ticket either way to confirm what’s happening, but you can also check the status of the payment on your account’s Transaction History.

If you have feedback about the way paid services work, you can always submit that to our development teams via the in-game Feedback option.

My name change finally went through after deleting the placeholder and waiting 2 mins.
And yes I have same issue ad u Madpepe lol, both names are shown in different places

Same here. People cant whisper me on classic, great to have spent 10 euros to ruin the game for myself…
