Brain freeze and ice lance

Can we get a multiplier if you have both fingers of frost and brain freeze at the same time, especially now that you get so many fingers of frost procs, it just feels like i am wasting so many procs when i use brain freeze, and at this point it’s completely unavoidable, it’s pretty much impossible to not waste at least 1 proc of fingers if you cast brain freeze.

One way to solve this would be to increase the damage of your ice lance by a % when you cast a brain freeze ice lance that also has fingers of frost.

Does not Wintertide already do that? It increases FoF Ice Lance damage against frozen enemies and Winter Chill makes enemies count as frozen. At least it should work that way.

It is indeed what Wintertide does, it provides a 20% damage boost to FoF Ice Lances used against frozen or pseudo-frozen targets (Brain Freezed).

However, a 20% buff as an optional talent is a poor band-aid fix for the core spec problem of overlapped procs, a refund system would be better (or have it do 100% increased damage, then the proc isn’t wasted at all).

I thought wintertide just increased the damage of your ice lances since the target is considered frozen regardless, for fingers of frost.

And yea, even if it was, 20 % is not good enough. And spending 2 talent points to fix a core issue of frost is not good.

Personally i think they should increase the damage by at the very least 50 %, not refund the proc since with how many you get it’s basically impossible to not waste some.

I really think Brainfreeze should still proc Frostfirebolt. Not this stupid Flurry. And both Brainfreeze and Frostfirebolt should be branch in general Mage tree.

Flurry is basically frostfire bolt, but also with ice lance proc.

Frostbolt should be Lance proc. Brainfreeze 2 stacks Lances 3. Remove icicles rework mastery and Icy Veins and Elemental. Icicles were dumb since they implemented it in midway MoP.

I see no saving grace for DF Frost design unless gear stats makes it viable after few content patches, which is already big failure.
