Brann hasn’t always been the brightest bulb in the shed when it comes to Delves, but since yesterday (and particularily today) I’ve noticed some new annoying habbits of his:
He ninjapulls more. Alot more, as in I don’t even have to be in combat now and he can just suddenly pull a group of mobs in the vicinity. Bonus points when he does it on annoying, easily skippable elites. It’s not even his pets, he flat out shoots them with his rifle or starts AoE:ing them.
He steals aggro (and runs away). Several times today I’ve noticed mobs suddenly switching aggro to him despite me dps:ing them. This wouldn’t be that big of an issue, but then he also has a habbit of running away with them, potentially into new packs of mobs… thanks Brann. (This hasn’t happed on my Protadin, but happens fairly often on my Warlock.)
For what it’s worth, I run him as healer.
Anyone else that find that Brann is alot more annoying to deal with since yesterday?
Yes. I was doing a very low level delve with a friend yesterday to finish a quest quickly with Brann as healer … but he barely healed for the first 10 minutes or so, nor hit anything.
He was just wandering around looking like a tourist and sometimes, like with you, he wandered into a pack of mobs. Then the end boss (the really irritating one on a boat) was so hard. It’s always fairly hard solo on level 7 or 8, but we were doing L3 for speed. It ended up as one of the longest delves I’ve had to do (not to mention one or two deaths).
I did notice this when running a delve last night, but it didn’t really occur to me until I read your post (which I found pretty amusing for some reason).
I noticed some enemies coming from nowhere and he had been stood there opening up on them for no reason with his rifle. I found it a little funny and a little annoying because as for you, he ran away once he pulled them and I had to run half of the delve back to get the mobs.
I was honestly telling a friend just that 1 hour ago. “I wish Blizzard could give me a way to simply tell Brann to F off”, this was right after he pulled two extra flame breathing elite kobolds in Water Works since he had to stun and aggro one that I wanted to pull out of the patrols way, and then he just stood there waiting for the patrol to walk into him…
No more than normal. Mine just dinged 60 today, but he was still throwing the potions into Waxface’s green puddles, and pulling mobs out of melee range for my rogue.
If I’m completely honest, I was worse than him. I was just starting to gear my outlaw rogue, so I did four tier 8’s to unlock a couple of vault slots at max level for open world. I specced into killing spree and caused more carnage with that Brann did. Apart from jumping into additional packs and elites, the killing spree camera jump was making me disorientated and travel sick. Really wish it went of like DH blade dance.
The delves thing is fine. but I’m not very keen on the whole AI companions in dungeons thing. Dungeons are fundamentally supposed to be a group activity.
I agree and this works in m+ setting but anything below and it does not because people can not agree on a pace and route and just want to hulk smash things. Some people just want to chill and see the journey at there own place so follower dungeons are a must.
