There are several issues with Brann:
- Bug: Brann’s Epic Egg sometimes doesn’t spawn. I had several during the Delve, but not on the last boss. While the last boss lasted longer than the rest of the Delve.
- Bug: Mechasaurs from the Epic Egg don’t attack and just walk around behind Brann. I can’t remember this from the first week. It seems this bug was introduced since the Brann tuning.
- Bug: it seems healing is received sometimes. I was pumping healing and the health bar of Brann didn’t move at all.
- Issue: too much of Brann’s damage as tank is cd dependent. In my opinion his basic damage should be increased. If you don’t get an egg on the last boss of a Delve it takes forever now as healer. This is just so … boring.
- Issue: it feels like Delves as healer with tank Brann are tuned around damage healers like Discipline Priest and Mistweaver Monk. I tried to do a Delve as Holy Priest and it was really bad.
I have some coding experience and I really don’t get it what is so hard about Brann/mob tuning. Maybe I’m missing something. But isn’t it as easy as:
Brann tuning:
- Base health and damage on average ilvl of players in party.
- Combine ilvl with Brann level. So a lvl 80 tank Brann with an average party ilvl of 640 should have around 11m health and do somewhere around 800k dps.
- This formula shouldn’t be more complex as A = average ilvl party * B + Brann lvl * C.
Mob tuning:
- For every dps in the party increase mob health by y%.
- For every healer in the party increase mob health by 0,25y%.
- For every tank in the party increase mob health by 0,50y%.
- For every healer in the party increase mob damage by z%.
- For every tank in the party increase mob damage by 0,5z%.
