I just won the second Brawl this week and for win, it give me 2 conquest …rly why do you wonder why players dont like it when it gives 2 conquest points or wining it .
Blizzard can’t give conquest to most game modes because if you could chill, play BGs and gather conquest at a decent rate, the RBG bracket would lose 80% of its players overnight and low rated 2s would cease to exist as well.
Its one of those things where 90% of the player base has to suffer an inferior reward system because they want to cater to the 10% of players that actually enjoy spamming arenas and rbgs all day.
This is also the reason War Chests are worthless after the first one of the day and why you can only complete the various 40 man BG quests once per season. In a sane world they’d see where players naturally end up despite lack of rewards and focus the game there instead (which, solo Q rated BGs is a step in that direction), but Blizzard are notorious for dragging games to their death because they want to desperately hold onto an unfun game mode or system.
Other examples of this in practice:
- Azerite armour
- Diablo 3’s RMAH
- Diablo 4’s Keystone affixes
- SC2’s Tempests/Liberators/Disruptors
- Hearthstone’s board clear cards, making minions worthless for years
- Overwatch’s lack of role lock, forcing most games to be 3 tanks 3 healers for around a year and a half straight
etc. Not exactly sure why they design their games this way, but man I dream of a Blizzard that would just be a bit more flexible based on feedback, and there is no louder feedback than the overwhelming majority of PvPers never touching Arena/RBGs, despite these two modes handing out fantastic rewards, while BG players are sitting with tabards from 2008 and titles from 2004 and mounts from 2005.
