Is still the best solo content in the entire game.
This is the most socialising I’ve ever seen in any expansion, it’s enjoyable, challenging content, and there’s not even any loot involved, so its all for the prestige.
I really hope Blizzard starts bringing this in earlier each expansion and keeping it fresh throughout the patches. Maybe a few more mounts, but at the very least it should be kept going as the expansion progresses once you’ve done all of the main rank bosses.
The only thing holding me from going in there is not wanting to fight 8 or more players for a chance to fight, each fight takes 2 minutes, that’s 16 minutes or so just so you can fight
It can get pretty busy atm yeah, but that’s just led to me having some nice conversations and taking proper bets on fights, so honestly its not that much of a bother to me.
I tend to wait until the hype has died down and the queue is minimal
I have seen the odd AFK player get pulled into their brawl and just die. Must be so annoying that you’re finally up when you’re not there
Worse when you think you’re way back in the queue and get dragged into a rumble
Meh, honestly, the Brawler’s Guild has seriously been dumbed down compared to how it was back in MoP. I felt more accomplishment beating Hexos at the time rather than achieving Rank 8 now. It can still be challenging at times but it’s a cakewalk with many encounters and it can do with some harder tuning.
Hexos was a hell of a fight. Huge wall to anyone doing it. Can’t remember how many times I died to him
I really enjoyed that fight. Then they removed it.
And then once you beat Hexos you would get Nibbleh right after who was much harder to kill than the BFA version. I miss that accomplishment which is lacking in this season.
That’s the best part for me, sitting there and assisting to each and everyone’s performance.
I think I saw someone doing Hexos just like an hour ago, so maybe it’s back?
Those are Random Brawls which consists of a pool of many past encounters, but the DPS requirement is more lax than in MoP still.
I remember the paladin back in MoP, can’t remember his name off the top of my head, and the DPS check for him back then was insane. Now he barely lasts a few seconds out of his shield phase.
Yep, I admit I was stuck on Ahoo’ru (his name) and no matter what I just couldn’t get past him. My skills have improved a lot since then but I now managed to do Ahoo’ru on Rank 3 the very first try and this is because the divine shield charges have been nerfed (from 4 to 3) and his health as well.
Finished the questline last night, love the mount and the quests were really funny! They had that humor like in old wow quests
But then again Ahoo’ru is not a high rank fight anymore afaik, so it makes sense to knock his dps check down a few pegs.
You might be right that it’s a bit more lax on the dps req, can’t speak from experience though since I only did a few fights for the first time since MoP just now. Was it noticeably easier in Legion too?
Legion had a few fairly challenging encounters like Epicus Maximus but most of it was fairly simple to get through. I think the only challenges I had some difficulty with now was Stitches because his counter was bugging and Ogrewatch because of the damage they deal. I understand that Rank 1-3 (maybe 4) shouldn’t be too difficult but from there it should be amped up considerably.
I remember the pacman one was pretty tough from a mechanical standpoint, and fairly early on. Again, can’t remember the boss name, but it was a panda
Matches your mog!!!
That fight was legendary, and learning to back pedal properly to fight snek, ah those fights were cool
I’m looking forward to this brawler, I hope there are some super niche and hard fights out there
