Nice to see the unpopularised specs and classes be given a spotlight opportunity.
Especially if you find the unpopularised specs and classes more fun to play but they aren’t competitive with the numbers.

Friends who are still playing Retail were thinking of taking part, not sure how far they got sorting that.
Yeah, it’s a good idea. We’ll have to see how it goes.
So if i get it right “only” award is the banner ? And then game for very best right ?
Also, do i need a team for this or can i just get bunch of people in lfg ( if their spec is off meta) and just do a random 15s?
Anyway , nice event . But it would be far better ( imho) if they did something similar during MDI or greatpush . Like weekend after best X teams try to do same with total offmeta, to see difference clearly .

How To Enter
BTM participation will be on an individual basis, and completed via the BTM Registration Form. This means that you can play with any number of people throughout the event in various groups, and it will not affect your prize eligibility or progress. Registration is open NOW and will close at 11:59pm PDT on October 15th, 2022.
So they made a problem (hatred ect. for x specs thx for io and xyz people), and now “fix” the problem by throwing some bones to specs which unrepresented.

still think raider io played a massive roll in turning the game into what it is today…

Nobody is hating non meta specs. Or you do. Then i am mistaken.
If anything you can see how well non meta specs are actually performing on that website. When you start asking meta for your weekly +15 then you are the problem. All specs are doing high in the +20 keys.

Meta has always existed. Also without raiderio. But luckily we now got raiderio to prove everyone that even the bottom of the barrel non meta class is timing +27 or even higher. I mean, who is at those levels that they can say no to non meta’s? This is literally at the 0.1% top-levels.
Without raiderio nobody knows how good non meta specs really are.

the problem is having meta’s at all promotes situation where certain types of player swear by them and refuse to give all classes equal opportunity in joining groups…
resulting in very limited option for the classes considered not S-tier meta at any given time.
this is a problem blizzard has created in this game by supporting raider io and what it brings to the game i feel like…
it’s too late to revert these changes now though…
this is the game we are all stuck with now…

Yes, but raiderio is proving otherwise. Without raiderio nobody knew. And without raiderio the meta would still be there.
Raiderio is a gift to non meta specs.
i depends on how the person using the information decides to use it…
it can be both good and bad…
and from personal experience trying to play mythic+ the previous 2 expansions…
it is mostly bad.
I mean; with or without raiderio there will be meta. And without anything published somewhere i am pretty sure the knowledge of this meta will hurt more than with the real statistics available.
