This thread was already here just a little while ago I think? Anyway, no thank you. A lot of those mmos with 1000 sliders put all the effort in character creation and nowhere else. I always get the feeling they want you to spend 4 hours making the perfect character, just to make you more attached to your character so that you forgive the glaring flaws of those games more easily and don’t immediately quit after 10 minutes of gameplay.
Customization is good, but one of the reasons I play WoW is believe it or not the simple character creation and free barber shop. There’s no pressure! Any time an mmo comes out now with sliders for everything from hair length to eye depth, I don’t even try it. It’s exhausting to spend hours in the creation screen only to accidentally forget one slider and turns out the character has a comically huge nose or their skin’s texture makes them look like they’re made out of sandpaper in most lighting (except the lighting in the creaton screen… ).
I’d rather they keep the options locked like they are now, but allow endless combinations of them. This way the more creepy or troll players can’t take advantage of the system either. There aren’t any eyesore characters giving me nightmares, or people taking advantage of the system to do questionable things.
Because of that, if we got sliders, I would quit the game and never come back. Based on how a lot of the playerbase acts and talks in game, I really don’t think they can be trusted with something like this.
I think he refers to the transgender character with long blonde hair and built like a brick-house (no breasts).
That’s because that he criticizes the fact that the human females have a certain size breasts, which he thinks are too big.
I still think it’s a joke, though.

Not much customisation if it’s barely noticeable, is it? Why do you care if your boobs at +/- 2% larger? Mah dude, they change size that amount naturally in a single month on real living women and you didn’t even notice!
Isn’t it better, then, to create completely custom rigs or make new body types that you know and test will fit the armour decently, maybe create some custom animations, and just have fewer body types?
Size scaling is a pretty easy one, though. There’s no way they can’t make it work for you to be able to change your body’s size - thickness, height, and all of it, by +/- 15% or whatever. That’s easy. Beyond that though… it gets more complicated than you might think.
In some cases there are clipping, yes, but it’s not even remotely close to how bad it’s going to get if they allow you to change everything on sliders. You think this is bad? Oh my goodness, you won’t believe what you’ll see if you add sliders to every body part. Let me assure you: It would be ridiculous.
This is the most ridicilous excuse one can claim. You literally assume that those kids never see someone with big breasts when they go to a beach or outside.
There are plenty of examples where this is the case
For example
If 2 15 year olds get caught in certain activities they just get told off… if a 19 and a 15 year old gets caught the 19 year olds in serious trouble. And saying “it’s not like the 15 year olds a virgin” won’t stand up.
Regardless to your opinions on these matters. It’s irrelevant. Kids can know swear words but go around near a school swearing the police can do you for it.
Regardless to if kids can or can’t see it, it’s still deemed a form of sexual content and would require a age bracket increase.
As people yes kids are exposed to alot through parents or friends school yards and more. But the age bracketing does exist, and they would have to include sexual content which would increase the age bracket to the game itself to a 15 minimum realistically.
Short answer is - the engine - which has no sliders what-so-ever and likely never will unless the game is overhauled so that it isn’t trying to squeeze the most out of such an ancient engine (that was created to fulfil a very specific theme).
There’s also the fact that a cartoony MMORPG like WoW simply doesn’t need it. Calling it ‘shameful’ for WoW to not have it makes me wonder about one’s priorities in life.
The irony is that FFXIV has a more updated engine and the devs have to constantly explain the impossibility of butt-sliders - one of the most common requests for years. Always find it amusing when random people proclaim that such a thing would be ‘easy to add’, especially when discussing such an ancient engine as this.
