Brewfest impossible to buy ram

They have really screwed up the coin balance of Brewfest this year.

What they did, was that they implemented the 2008 Brewfest. This Brewfest back then was without the ram mount that cost 600 tickets (tickets instead of coins first year). So in 2008 when the ram was not there the coin rewards from dailies was reduced.

But Blizzard patched in the ram this year, but without changing the coinrewards from the quests. And without fixing the missing Eleks on parade quest.

In 2007 when they had the mount you got 3 tickets pr. turn in when ram racing (instead of 2 like now) and the barking quest gave a lot more coins (45 I believe).

I looked at old screenshots from 2007. I managed to get both ram, dress, hat and more on my character. So I had well over 900 tickets that year.

This in addition to the fact that the 600 token item wasn’t even on the vendor from day one, leading many to believe there was no point grinding daily tokens.

Hopefully they either increase the number of tokens you get from the quest or more realistically extend the event to allow people to be able to mathematically be able to pick up the 600 token item.

I read the keg race gave 3 tickets pr. run in 2007 when the mount was there. Some even say it was 5 (they looked at old screenshots). And yes, many did not bother with brewfest because they did not know about the mount. That mount was unique for 2007

No, the Brewere’s handstamp quest was unique. You could buy the ram the following years too - maybe you still can? I was only level 40 in 2007, and I bought the swift ram next year

No you could only buy this in 2007. From 2008 it was a lucky drop from Coren Direbrew. If you dont belive me just read up on wowhead. Here is a post quote from 2009

" To all of you looking to get a brewfest mount with tickets, you’re sh*t out of luck. The only way you can get them now is by downing Coren Direbrew and hoping for the best.

The Great Brewfest Kodo and Swift Brewfest Ram are only dropped by Coren Direbrew.

During Brewfests before 2008 you could indeed buy mounts with tokens, but Blizzard has changed that with the 2008 (and 2009) Brewfests."

I can STILL now today buy the rams from Pol Amberstill. But only with the alt that originally had done the Quest
They cost 10 G and 100 G
I just logged onto my old WoW account and checked. I’ll see if I can post a screenshot.

I dont know how you could do that in 2008 because it was definately not there. That is confirmed from a lot of sources. Here btw, is a post from 2007. Barking awarded 40 tickets.

"How to get 600 Tickets.

The festival started Wednesday, 3 oct.
It ends Tuesday 16 oct.

So u have: 14 days.
600 tickets / 13 = 46

So that means you have to collect 46 tickets a day.

Ram riding: you can get 11 kegs MAX. the way im doing it. Im not gonna tell my secret route, but normal people get about 9 kegs, with that route you get about 11.

11 x 3 tickets = 33 tickets.

You can now shout once a day. = 40 tickets.

33+40=73 tickets a day.

600/73 = 8.2xxxx so 9 days.

14 - 9 = 5. So u have 5 days spare if you want to.

My rank does not allow links or pictures. So here’s a link to my WoW blog with Screenshots proving the 5 tickets and that rams can still be bought from Pol Amberstill:
https://imcwow.blogspot.com/2021/09/ram-racing.html

And if you read the notes on this page (from 2008), note 2 says that: “Players who completed the quest to unlock mount purchasing in 2007 can still buy the rams”
https://wow.allakhazam.com/wiki/Brewfest_%28WoW%29

Yeah you can still buy the mount. But if you created a new character in 2008 and that was level 70 when the second brewfest was there, you could not buy the mount with that as the mount was moved to random drop. Interesting that you have a screenshot saying 5 tickets… I have a screenshot saying 3. Is that screenshot from 2007 or 2008?

October 3rd 2007.

the point is anyways that in 2007 it was a lot easier to earn tickets or coins for the mount. This year its near impossible.

I totally agree, and was sorely dissappointed, as I expected a re-run of the 2007 Brewfest.

I hope Blizzard adjust this before the brewfest is over. Kegs should be 5 per turn and barking 40.

I think maybe the lead up quest There and back again, gave 5 tickets pr. barrel? and the repeatable one then 3. My screenshot is from the first day
Then this too give less tokens 3 * 5 = 15 and now it gives only 10 upon completion.
It IS hard!
