I am a bit familiar with the anti-tank sentiment in the community for PvP arenas but Wowmeta currently places the Brewmaster in the S tier for 3v3 arena specifically and simultaneously places the Windwalker in the 3v3 B tier. The forums aren’t allowing me to embed convenient links unfortunately but it’s easy to see these ratings on Wowmeta.
It is interesting, though, that the Brewmaster’s 3v3 winrate is slightly lower at 1.12 than that of the Windwalker at 1.21, while the Brewmaster’s score is higher at 61 than the Windwalker at 49, but I don’t know what exactly this score is based on and what it means.
So, what are the thoughts of experienced players on this? Should I still ignore these tiers and go for Windwalker and why?
It’s a gimmick, tanks get in a separate queue with 2x dps and 1x tank for each team.
Healers and tanks are essentially not playing the same game when it comes to solo shuffle, and dps players may be unlucky to be matched in the tank queue (insta logout for me in this case)

What a bizarre choice. I would’ve assumed that 1 of each role would’ve made more sense and at least seemed more balanced, even if it could’ve lengthened the fights, but that could’ve been balanced by measuring how much longer such matches last in average and increasing the rewarded Conquest accordingly, so that people don’t feel that they’d be wasting time in such lengthier matches.
Oh I completely agree, I wouldn’t mind playing the shuffles when tanks are present at all, if they were not replacing the healers.
So, for your earlier question, I would rather invest into Windwalker, since you’ll be able to play both tank/healer queues anyway and should you ever want to transfer to normal 2vs2 / 3vs3 rated arenas later, you’ll have way more team composition options I think
