Brewmaster never meta in 6 years?

What is going on I am main of brewmaster monk, I got to stop play this game after every few weeks of patch? Why all tanks was meta and brewmaster wasn’t any time? I play this game from SL SEASON 1, NEVER LITERALLY NEVER MONK WAS GOOD FROM BFA SEASON 3 THAT WAS ON 9 JULY 2019 6 years ago, what is happening is brew never be good again? I don’t considedr a respec so I shall stop play the game and stop this agony? I play from like 2020 and nothing happend only 2 weeks in SL then stuck because not fotm, how is this game enjoyable if every tank except monk was meta? Like wtf blizzard except bfa season 3 monk was never played, I mean cringe optimization not gona lie

Unfortunately blizz refuses to update BrM kit to fit M+. In raid they hold up well, but in M+ they have been bottom of the barrel tank since forever.

My main issue is that other tanks have outgrown BrM in terms of utility. BrM does not have much to offer there. And on top of that they are the most healer-reliant tank while often being one of the weaker ones defensively.

And since at the end of DF they have decided that BrM can not even be allowed to do the most damage, we can not even rely on that.

I really wish they would update brew specifically with M+ in mind. But honestly its safer to switch to Paladin and VDH. One of these two was meta in 4 out of 5 last seasons and it does not look like its about to change.

Is playing with the most powerful tanking spec the only way you can have fun?

Indeed, Brew is in bad spot, it’s tools are highly RNG, which I hate the most when it comes to tanking.

But it doesn’t have only 10% of Prot pally’s powers. Maybe it performs 15% worse, but that is still enough to waltz through +10/11.

Interestingly, Brew was very playable and still not Meta in DF until Season 4. I think the tank changes hit it too hard.

Just play to BrM’s strengths. It’s the only tank I intend to go into S2 TWW with and will prolly remain there for a while longer - maybe until I quit WoW because it’s just a fun spec to play.

…Sure it’s not the best right now, but it’s not like it’s limp. I feel like the community compare - and expect to play it like - other tanks do and it’s sort of an unfair parameter. It can perform, just not the way most players would like or demand it to.
