Hi guys, a quick question.
I'm not adept with monk tanking though I enjoy it a lot. I read a lot of guides and do what they tell me.
Though my question is... is it my fault, or the healer's, if I die to (green) stagger?
If you have Ironskin brew up and you're hitting green stagger, I have no clue how you'd be dying to that since that would mean the damage you're taking is extremely low. The healer would have to ignore you for like 30+ seconds in order to have you die.
But the story starts to become a lot more beliveable if you're not using ISB because you're taking bigger hits straight to your face instead of moving it into your stagger pool thus keeping it low then (aka at green) in which case it's your fault.

Sadly, or maybe not sadly, I learned to always keep ISB active at all times... So... perhaps healers just suck? ._. It happened so unbelievably much, that I began to doubt myself.

You gave no info so it's impossible to tell you why did you die and whos fault is it.
Log of the fight would be perfect.

I always check my logs after I die. The logs looked like this:
Last damage taken would be my stagger. It would be dots between 300 and 1100 or so, roughly those numbers give or take.

That's not what i meant. There is a site warcraftlogs.com. You can upload your combat logs there to see pretty much everything that happened in that fight. You can find some guides how to use that.
There is a possibility that someone uploaded log of the fight your monk participated so check it and give us a link. Or at least give name and server of your monk.
In what content?
The content i’m currently running i’m never on green stagger, it’s either Yellow or Red pretty much all the time, and i have yet to encounter any issues with it.
Only time i’m on green stagger is during WQ’s.
Are we talking M+, raid etc?
Is it a common occurence?
Do you purify to often?
This just doesen’t add up without any context, since it sounds like it’s a common occurence, yet it should be highly improbable unless you’re doing something wrong (like not having ISB up at all times, and/or purify way to often).
So since we can’t really determine unless we get more context, but by the sound of it, the only way ”possible” would be If you tanked without ISB, but somehow purify everytime the stagger turns yellow, that’s the only thing that can even remotly come close to the scenario you’re describing.
But at the same time you’re saying it’s not like that.

Sounds like BS man, it can't be by monk mechanics, damn I can pretty good kite mobs with red stugger on me and bad healer and still be bloody alive till my healer alive, and even some time after heal death I can use some purify and even heal masel and kite even more(if not pulled whole dung), if you dying and healer alive you prolly mess something up.
Stagger itself can't actually kill you - it'd keep you at 1 HP so you definitely died from 'external' damage. Likely that you took some damage and your healer wasn't healing or unable to keep up.... especially at green stagger. Logs aren't always that super accurate.
