Wanna bet? If I hadn’t deleted them, I would post screen shots of some of the Reddit DMs I received. In fact, they would very much be against CoC, they were down right disgusting.

WHAT IS their reasoning?

I mean, they just did a big push to bring out looks back, enable white/gray items for transmog, introduce the trading post. But then, at the same time, Mage Tower is back, and no returning of the old looks. (And as said, especially for druids it is an issue since there are so few options.)

You can find the time to argue in these threads over and over. But you can’t find the time to look up the information and answer already available to you.

Their reasoning is that they have to abide by what “promises” they gave to the community. They said that mage tower tints will be removed by the end of legion and did just that.

Yup, and when mage tower came back, after 4 years of forums posts by people asking for the tints to return, blizzard introduced the mage tower without the weapon models. For the particular case of druid that you states, they added a new form that anyone could get.

I mean after that track record, it seems pretty safe to say that they are NOT going to bring back the same weapons/tints, BUT are open to bring back recolors/remodels.

At this points I believe this to be the best case, as bringing back the old models will create content for the portion of the playerbase that was not here during legion, while creating new tints/recolors of those weapons/models will create content for everyone in the game.

Yeah, weird how they would stick so tightly/long to a promise like that. Even among players it should be accepted as reasonable and predictable that that doesn’t mean for all eternity. If back in Legion Blizzard had said that they plan on brining them back in the year 2023, I am sure no one would have said: “Oh, well, then I can just wait.” I thought these were exclusive. :joy:
And the druid appearances are also a bit less replaceable with alternatives than legacy titles or such.
But maybe part of the consideration is a plan to keep Mage Tower available for the forseeable future, so then it might make those appearances a lot less exclusive if previously they were really limited to one expac timeframe only.

It’s even harder since this version keeps scaling, meaning you can’t overpower it with ilvl, as you were able to do in Legion.

To be fair we still do not have a reliable way to get (apart BMAH):

  • Tier 3

  • Removed mounts (TotC, Panda phoenix,…)

  • Gladiator mounts/mogs/enchants

  • MoP sets

  • WoD Weapons.

So yeah, track record shows that blizzard does not reintroduces rewards that said they would retire them.

To be fair there was a big number of players that did level up alts, geared them, learnt how to play them and then did the mage tower. I was one of them that missed the druid one cause I was not playing one during the time.

This is the exact reason they introduced the fel bear. Cause said model was unique and wanted the players to have a way to acquire that without going “back” on their word. This is why we now have the precedent and we know that it is fair game to ask for recolors/remodels of those artifacts.

They introduced again the Mage Tower, but now the rewards are the armor sets/fel bear/mount.

I think best case scenario is a Mage Tower 2.0 with new fights, challenges, achievements, that is not gonna be removed and introduces new tints of those weapons or even better rewards.

It’s because the original difficulty isn’t back. The scaling may make level and ilvl +/- the same, but the skillset is very different.

Yes it is.

For instance, if you take feral, back then in legion we barely had any direct aoe damage. In order to do aoe, we had to slowly build it up by putting single target dot finishers once at a time on as many mobs as possible while maintaining everything on the primary target.

Nowadays, you simply hit the aoe finisher once and every single mob, uncapped, get the dot while also being hit by a truck worth of direct damage.

You can add a new cat form as a reward for the mage tower, but giving ghostly cat to people who can simply hit a single button to get the same effect that what we had to do in legion would be kind of undeserved.

You can have that opinion; but that doesn’t make it factual.
I personally couldn’t care less about things like that; everyone deserves everything imo.

I could reply to you the exact same thing.

The difference is I have an argument to back it up. While you have nothing beside “I paid for the game”.

And, as I said, it doesn’t change the fact (because that time it’s a fact) that you can add as many new forms to cat, bear, or any other transmog to anything as a reward for a new challenge.
