And up it’s damage by a ton. The feel of having a slam back in the day made the warrior for me.

You mean the old one that reset swing?
If so, please integrate the swing timer as an interface option, tired of having to download addons every time somebody think of something “new”

Yes exactly, it was idd a tool that somehow made Arms a bit more interesting in single target than the current Bladestorm design. They could make it work.

I didn’t replace an autoattack, it reset your auto so you’d just cast it after your auto landed, resulting in a delayed auto swing. It would be terrible to go back to this in the modern high movement game, but it worked fine if you made any attempt to learn to play it.
They also had it casted where it didn’t reset your auto swing from WOTLK onwards.
It replaced your auto attack. Same like the old heroic strike, just it required 1.5 sec cast.
I can assure you it did not, you can go look at footage of me playing it on my youtube channel in TBC Classic if you want.

No it didn’t, you can play Classic right now, TBC Classic was also only 2 years ago. Slam does not and has not ever worked like Heroic Strike/Cleave, is not an on-next-hit attack. Slam was it’s own casted special ability that was not normalised and caused the swing timer to reset, which is precisely why playing it properly required casting the Slam just after your auto landed, to reduce the delay.
0.0s Auto lands
0.1s Cast Slam
0.6s Slam lands, Auto resets
0.6s Auto casts
+0.6s to swing timer.

That’s a bad idea. In mop it didn’t have a cast time but it did tons of DMG. I remember in pvp it did more that execute
Which made the spell better ! I hated that cast timer back during Cata; yuck
