Bring back Challenge Modes / Mage Towers etc

Exactly! They should add more challenges like Mage Tower, not just rework old ones over and over. Although I understand that it can be exceptionally hard to balance fairly.

If people keep inflating the value of the removed CM rewards, Blizzard will definitely take the opportunity to do a clearance sale at some point.

Unless they do something more clever like making them available and transferable to retail via classic servers etc.

If you can do one m+ at 10 or above, and it’s timed, you would get challenge mode mogs for free, yes.

Blizzard has tried this, unfortunately everything that they make nowdays is just… Bad.

It is uninspiring and boring, doesn’t follow any form of class fantasy and mostly just looks like something you’d get out of a quest chain anyway.

On top of that adding mounts etc just feels pointless because there’s so many of them that not a single one of them is cool anymore lol

I’d suggest that too. Like, not just complex solo boss fights but maybe entire quest chains, meta achievements, and scenarios.

Effort-based prestige doesn’t just have to be from a very difficult boss fight. It could be showing the effort and commitment of doing something like a bigger “Balance of Power” or somehow having the endurance to suffer until you complete “Insane in the Membrane”. Could even be one that’s just spending a shedload of gold with an appropriately funny transmog reward.

It’d be easy for Blizzard to make these sorts of challenges. They don’t need to be gated. They just need to be long. RNG here and there is fine but it should be just a case of “here’s a mountain; climb it” and let people go!

First they came for our TSG, and noone listened or cared.

Then they came for our Limited Edition, and noone listened or cared.

They came for our Time Limited, and noone listened or cared.

Now they come for our challenge mode, and noone is left to listen or care.

… Nothing in WoW matters, so why shouldn’t we all get access to it at this point? Make it 20 euro a mog. As that is approximate the same level of IRL effort you put into the game. So that makes it fair

I care about challenge modes and don’t want someone getting my Ashen mounts, I worked my butt off to get them and if they recycled them for new players I’d be devastated as its a major talking point with players when I mount on them, they already took away my individuality of my CM Gold Transmog by making a gold version which was criminal back in legion.
