It offers a place for players of the same class to meet, inside an immersive environment built around the class’ fantasy.
It’s a great way for Blizzard to offer unique content such as quests and items for the class. But also smaller things, like an NPC appearing out of nowhere with a bit of interesting dialogue. Perhaps a wandering Ranger shows up at the Hunter lodge one day and offers a unique pet skin to acquire, or a quiver?
Even with the new and enhanced Talent Trees in Dragonflight, I feel like something’s missing. For example, as a Paladin you are rarely reminded of what your class is about. You’re a Warrior in plate armour throwing holy spells at your foes, yes. But the Paladin order hall offered a ton of context for all of that. The music, the solemn vibe inside the church, etc.
People don’t want this. They didn’t do it in the class hall either. They picked up their quests and send out the missions and went on their merry way again.
Though i would like to see a mix of garrisons and class halls.
I liked the Class Order Halls and Garrisons too. I do not really remember the former being used for socializing, but honestly now there are no Class Order Halls or Garrisons and people are sitting in Oribos/faction capitol and it is not like there is a huge amount of interaction anyway.
Yeah, Order Halls could add so much. They made Legion more fun for alts.
First job in the Order Hall would be to find new Leaders for each class, I don’t want to be head Shaman anymore, I’m rubbish.
They could add class quests that teach you new abilities as you level and could have scenarios like The Proving Grounds or the Monk dailies that show you some abilities.
It sounds like the hunter hall was much more interesting than the priest. I was really looking forward to our order hall … but it was huge and inside so no riding from one end to the other. There was the area to upgrade the legendary but, apart from that (and a few famous npc priests standing around not doing a lot) it was a bit pointless.
I would like the Beta Class Order Hall Titles from Legion Beta to return at least. However, they may bring back the Class Order Halls as well. Some classes had better Class Order Hall Titles in Beta. For example; Rogues that had “Master Assassin.” And when I saw that Title in a Beta gameplay video, I was pretty excited and I thought that was much cooler in comparison with “Shadowblade”, before it was changed to “Shadowblade”. I would like Beta Class Order Halls to return along with Class Order Halls.
Like I am the top Rogue, chief Shadowblade or whatever?! Please, I dont even have Gouge keybound
