Bring back conquest vendors

Anyone else want em to bring back honor and conquest vendors plz. Played soley PvP since bc and it’s just not as good because I don’t take arena seriously cause i dont have time, but bg every day and just unfair against pvers with 50 IL higher gear when you’re a better player.

It would just be more fun if it was an equal playing field e.g. full conquest geared vs full conquest geared

Its simple why they dont add PvP vendors back.

RNG = more time for you to play the game to get the item you want = you run faster out of time subscription = more money for them.

Lets say you have opened a box and you got a 360 Chest and the next reward from your conquest points is a 370 Chest.
Meanwhile you want to upgrade your 330 blue Helm with conquest…

YOU GOTTA WAIT FOR NEXT REWARD AFTER GETTING THAT USELESS 370 CHEST!

Easy tricks from Activision .

I dont call them Blizzard anymore since they lost contact with what they were in the past.

Its a clownfiesta company these days , a shadow of their past glory form.

Well , if their policy nowdays is to Silence community’s voice , then so be it.

That will not change the fact that they are garbage company since they day Activision took over anyway.

EXACTLY THIS, very well put.

I loved pvp’ing all the time. I came into WoW in BC and pvp’d my way through that. I pvp’d my way through WotLK, I pvp’d my way through Cata and I pvp’d my way through MoP. Halfway through I switched from Horde to Alliance so I could pvp with my pal - it reset my HK count and my pvp stats, absolutely gutting, but I didn’t really care because I could play with my mate, and she loved pvp just as much as I did.

We never did rated pvp or arena, always normal BG’s which in time became RBG’s.

There was always something to work towards with a very strong sense of a correlation between effort and reward. You got guaranteed pvp currency for a win, and that currency could be saved up for eventual cash in at the pvp vendor for the gear required to help you excell at more pvp (and world pvp for a while).

By the end of MoP I was heartbroken, and so was my pal. We’d seen so much change to how things were done we just quit. So I skipped WoD, and came back late in Legion, just to stick my nose in for nostalgia’s sake. I quickly quit that too, but have decided to have a peekaboo at WoW once more just to see what’s going on.

What’s going on now is LOOT CRATES. There’s no other way to put it.

I’ve signed up again and done some RBG’s, and the reward system has instantly put my off. What do I get as a reward for pvp’ing? A crate. What’s in that crate? Could be a number of things, could be a crappy item, could be a good item, could be money, could be a mark of honor, etc etc.

Obviously the WoW community would never stand for paid loot crates in WoW (I hope) and Blizzard realise this. BUT - when you’re dealing with a subscription based “service”, time literally does equal money. So whereas you aren’t paying directly for loot crates… you kind of are. I’m not a raider, or a mythic dungeoneer, but I’m told the system of reward is similar for those activities as it is for pvp.

What we’re dealing here with is the modern “weaponised” science (and it is a science) of customer retention/customer spend. And that means loot crates. You just have to look at how games like Fifa fleeced customers and made insane profits for EA. Sadly, you’re seeing a similar reward system implemented in WoW today. Not the same, because you don’t pay directly for the loot crate, but similar.

So, when you’ve completed an activity, you might get the reward you’re looking for, or you might not. It’s a GAMBLE, and because you rarely get what you want, odds are you have to spend more time trying to get it. So when time equals money, as it does in a subscription based game like WoW, you’re paying for loot crates. It’s about turning players into PAYERS, in the worst kind of way.

My current sub is the last sub I’ll ever sub, until this “loot crate RNG gamble” stuff is replaced once more with a more direct correlation between my effort and my reward.

So yes, bring back pvp reward currency obtained for completing pvp activities, and bring back Conquest vendors. When they do, they’ll bring back my custom and my money along with them.

Same. I think to not resub once this subscription is over. This whole RNG overwatch-like system is so bad.

To be honest, this is so true. Yep, Blizzard state as RNG mechanic, but why I never feel the good side of that RNG?
Pure example:I have weekly TimeWalk dungeons quest, Conquest Weekly Chest and quest from Warfront and from 3 quests I got wands.

The chance of good RNG to see is so low, and so versus player, in PvE it’s the same, more and more farm to see some item to drop. I remember in Cataclysm 31 weeks I never see Polearm to drop from DeathWing for my hunter…

Fantastic post. You’ve summed it up perfectly, and I fear a large proportion of the old player base, particularly PvPers, agree with you. Unfortunately, the new loot box system is attracting a new player base that expect this style of play and so will they change it back? I doubt it. Not sure how much longer I’ll stick with it either.
