With the removal of Damage Reduction, PvP is once again burst-only oriented, low skill and poor.
We do not have to use CC anymore, simply burst anything in an instant.
If you dare press Crow control button, you can global almost anything under 2 or 3 GCD.
There is no setup, no interrupt or chain CC needed. Just smash DPS button over anything else…
No mana management, nor CD management exists, not to mention paladin running headlessy bubble up on any target like a caricature. That’s boring, it feels like playing PvE with custom enemi name.
It’s understandable that some players has been frustrated by damage reduction, since maybe they are not use to use more than 2 damage button to win, maybe 50% is too much ? I don’t know. But 0 it’s too little and nor fun, nor skilled atm, in my opinion.
Just my opinion again, 95% of my activity on SoD is PvP and for me it’s normal to not kill everyone with just damage button. Use healer, use CC, use brain (at least a little ! :D)
This bursty show remembers me some of darkest wow pvp periods :S

Stop lie, CC are absolutly useless with damage reduction, even with a full rotation impossible to kill someone. Especially if there is other healers or stupid broken hybrid class like shaman (insta heal full life when the dmg class need 20 second to deal these damages …).
Where is the skill when a healer can keep alive 4 allies with 3 ability ? Nowhere.
A healer don’t manage any interupt or control to keep them alive BTW. (Just spam 3 spells on the backline)
1 Healer should just die against 2 dps. It was clearly not the case during this stupid test.
(Maybe 2 broken shaman can kill 1 healer)
The healers meta is what killed the PVP in WoW.
Healers meta is lazy, without effort. (AND SO BORING)

What are you talking about mate. Warlock, priest and shamans are undying gods by far when compared to other classes. The game never been like this in any expensions. With this everyone going to play warlock priest or shaman in the game for pvp.

As R7 Mage with almost BiS Gear i did 400 Pyro Proccs.
I could not even kill a 10% HP target.

Good warlocks get to play something, because as dps in pve they are really low mid doing half of S tier classes. At least we got to play something in SoD not being absolute dog.
Still better than unkilbl shaman,warlock, healer or priest meta. No ty , damage redaction was bad idea (50%) , but 15-25% would be fine

Hey maybe try to balance the game instead? “But pve”… There’s will always be some classes performing better than others. Might aswell give us a balanced pvp.

That right there is like you telling us you never played WoW before(or PvP at least).
Let’s hope the devs got some data from this test and they have something to implement asap. For now we are back to healers dying because two ranged classes decided to look in their general direction.
Because it s better to have healers able to survive against 4 ranged dps ?
If 2 players are doing a good focus/burst an one healer what is wrong on the fact that he is killable ? This is pointless
healers meta are boring, and this is exactly what killed the pvp in this game.

Not even with the damage reduction a healer would survive the focus of 4 ranged dps.
That aside, with the clown burst fiesta we are back to now, some healers can be shut down by a single dps, priest healers are the exception to this since they have the best kit.
Any single time you find yourself as a healer losing people before you finish a cast it becomes obvious(aside from the most dim people in this community) that you are useless, you can’t perform your role to save people, you contribute nothing.
In such scenarios only more damage will win, and you as a healer are just griefing your team by bringing no damage to the table.
Now we are back to mostly healing with the largest heals to try keep someone up, back to spamming like a turret because that is the only way to keep someone alive from the absurd damage.
Yes people having to use their brain and coordinate is what killed the pvp in this game. Now we are back to mutilatex5(and not just rogues) strategic geniuses being top dog, pvp will explode in popularity I’m sure.
This an absolute lie, no one healing class are actually killed by dps on 1v1.
Proof is that all PREMADE are actually playing with healers. It means they are actually essential.
How the dmg reduction improve the coordination ? It’s absolutly wrong. I only see unkillable healers pressing 2 spell to keep alive an entire group. Coordination is clearly more necessary with a faster meta, wich mean more reflex and burst and focus possibility.
The dmg reduction turn just the game in a “MANA DRAIN” competition. Focus is useless
/ CC is useless / interupt is useless ==> More Healers = win .
Just impossible to reverse the situation. Everything depend on the healers performance.

Why do u think résilience was implemented later ? Because was the only way to fix damage was too hight.
Now poeple do damage of lvl 60 good geared or better, but HP, armor are low, and no résilience destruct PvP.

I have discuss with a Lot of poeple like the réduction, all say was a good way to go and a good test, just let Blizzard ajust it , not 50% maybe 25% will be fine
Just nerf any direct heal in PVP (STV + BGs) the same way damage was nerfed (damage derived heal was OK because the source damage was nerfed).
Say that to 1900 crit Envenom that goes along with the rest of the interrupts and Mind numbing Poison. But tell me how much experience do you have on healers that you are so sure?
Yes premades are looking for priest healers, something that I pointed out 3 times at least in my previous post. Other healers suffer a lot in a bursty environment, only Priest has a well enough rounded kit to do well.
Curse of Tongues on healers and a combination of Viper Sting spam and Spelllock/Counterspell are surefire ways to make healers irrelevant.(Not going to even mention Mortal Strike or Wound Poison, those aren’t even needed at that point if you do what I said above)
But here is the problem, barely any mages nowadays even bother to CC or watch the healer to punish with a Counterspell, everyone spams Living Bomb and complains their Pyroblast hits for whatever and that their damage is healed immediately then.
Same for Warlocks, too many are throwing Agony instead of Tongues, too many Felguards instead of Felhunters when picking Felhunter lets you take Unstable Aflliction, an awesome tool to combat spam dispells.
