As a passionate Shaman player, I’m reaching out to rally support for the return of the classic green Chain Heal visual effect. For years, the vibrant green cascade of Chain Heal was a hallmark of the Shaman class, instantly recognizable and deeply tied to the class’s identity as healers connected to nature and the elements. The current visual, while sleek, lacks the soul and nostalgia of the original green glow that made casting Chain Heal so satisfying.
The green Chain Heal wasn’t just a spell effect—it was a symbol of Shaman healing, evoking the class’s roots in natural and ancestral magic. Many of us miss the visceral joy of seeing those emerald arcs bounce between allies, lighting up the battlefield with hope and restoration. Reverting to (or offering an option for) the green visual would honor the Shaman’s legacy and rekindle that connection for veteran players while introducing new players to an iconic part of WoW’s history.
I propose:
Revert Chain Heal’s visual to the classic green effect as the default.
Alternatively, add a glyph (e.g., Glyph of Verdant Chains) to let players toggle the green visual.
Engage the community—poll players to gauge support for this change!
Shamans deserve to see their healing magic shine in its full, verdant glory again. Let’s make this happen! Who’s with me? Share your thoughts, memories of green Chain Heal, and ideas below!
Just make it a glyph option, heck this used be for getting chain heal to look like a water beam, i guess now its the default.
Anyway this seems more something for the shaman forums.
I could not see anything at all. I had trouble differentiating the “fires and swirlies” from bosses from the player’s friendly effects.
The default version should be as least intrusive as possible. Semi transparent, as it is now. But add the option with a glyph if you want the extra lights.
Why do we even have ask for such things. Across the board we need more customization, within in reason ofcourse at minimum give what Warlock got for their pets for DK just as an example… tired of them being behind all other games on that front.
