Bring back Gul'dan

Gul’dan needs a redemption arc. He manage to kill the Alliance leader Varian Wrynn with a single attack and then restored power back to the horde. No horde leader in recent times have manage to kill an a Alliance leader. So it’s time for Gul’dan to return and be the rightful ruler of the Horde. He was betrayed by Blackhammer, Thrall, Saurfang and other orcs. Watchning Varian Wrynn final act of a warrior was great but seeing Gul’dan died to Illidan was sad because Gul’dan is one of Wow most beloved characters. The Horde needs a great leader again. For the Horde!!!

Well he’s dead so no. He is far from beloved he’s evil incarnate.

He is far from evil. He gave the opportunity to spare the heroes multiple times. It was his surroundings that made him do bad stuff. He was born a cripple, was an outcast of the horde and got rejected by the elementals. He deserves a redemption arc just like Illidan.

Dead is Dead that’s it. Go mourn him if he meant so much to you to me he was scum and needed to die period. Each to our own.

And you wonder why Sylvanas burned your tree?

 this is one of those stupid ideas

Yeah, whatever wannabe edgelord get over yourself…really a try-hard using my race and lore to get a reaction go put some nice flowers by Gul’dan’s grave I forgot he never had one because Illidan vapourised him…what a pity!

Just like Sylvanas is but yet they are redeeming her so if they can redeem a psychopath they can redeem evil incarnate.

Why not! Lore is screwed anyway. Shadowlands is a space museum after all.

There’s literally nothing to redeem. Simply because there’s nothing to redeem. No body or soul from neither Gul’dans… That is unless you want to redeem the memory in ToS.

in line with recent news

/e spits on Gul’dan and tosses his soul to new frostmourn.

p.s. seriously … nah, they already jumped the shark like 4 times

He do had indeed a sad life. But his deeds are what measures him. Not his youth.

It’s cute you think Gul’dan cares about the horde beyond a potential slaves or souls source.

You all realize that Gul’Dans soul has been wiped out right? He, just like Varian, cant be resurrected. They are also not in the Shadowlands because of that. They didnt even become Anima. They ceased to be.

I understand that but i was hypotheticaly speaking if they can redeem one villain they can redeem the other if the other was alive.

Have your parents left you alone in the house again.

Gul’dans choices were in the end ultimately his own. Sylvanas can be excused (and i dont like this whatsoever. Reeks of Kerrigan 2.0) because she wasnt whole.

Gul’dans “corruption” is similar to that of Arthas. They both were baited by an entity (Gul’Dan by KJ and Arthas by Ner’Zhul) but the choices they made were in the end their own. Gul’dan never had any love for the Horde or anyone. All he wanted was power. Yes he was treated like dirt by his clan but he also killed the one guy that wanted to help him in cold blood.

Arthas’ decissions were also his own. He was never mind controlled and unlike Sylvanas his soul was intact and not partially consumed by Frostmourne. His sister is also pointing this out during 9.0 that Arthas’ decissions were ultimately his own. Further supported by the fact that Zovaal is punishing Ner’Zhul the way he does in the Sanctum because he was “usurped” by another. Which is a reference to Arthas killing Ner’Zhul inside their spirit during his 4 year sleep after merging with Ner’Zhul. We also know that Arthas defied Zovaal based on his reaction towards Bolvar.

The only true villian WoW has ever had.
Didn’t care about anyone or anything apart from his own end goal, even the people who gave him power he tried to double cross in one way or another. Always scheming and trying to bring about ruin.
…and he looked cooler than Ice while doing it lol

Imo, easily the most interesting and “best” bad guy in the game so far.

R.I.P my man Gul’dan :skull:
