Bring Back Mage Tower Appearances in Remix?

Me neither because it would now become just as worthless as everything else that’s on the Trading Post.

And that’s where we disagree.

I wouldn’t buy it because ‘I don’t like the look of it’.
But I’ll buy a nice looking piece of transmog on the TP and gladly use it. Because I couldn’t care less where such a thing comes from.

That’s because you’re a proper nihilist.
You don’t believe in worth and meaning - only whether something is aesthetically pleasing to you. Which is also why you enjoy my company so much.

I do believe in worth and meaning: But not in a videogame.

Ew dude. No. I don’t like blood elf aesthetics.
I just like verbally sparring with you, because you know to not make or take it personal.
And I respect that.

Back in the day I did my feral dudu form by clicking xD Imp mother challenge was super easy

Intersubjectivity shows us that this worth exists. Because on shady websites, accounts that own Scarab Lord or Gladiator mounts are sold for hundreds if not thousands of euros. And people do buy these.
The worth is there.

Thank you.
I can also respect the willpower required to come and engage with me so much, despite knowing full well that you’re going to be publicly proven wrong every single time.

For some. Not for everyone.
And because ‘person A’ cares, doesn’t mean I care.

But I do assign worth to things in the game, but that worth for me is based on aesthetic and personal appeal. Not rarity or a notion of prestige.

not all the removed content is equal.
There is different value in something that was awarded to the top raiding guild in the server and something that over 10% of the active players may have already.

Having the WoD weapons and all the MT skins never made me feel special and others never treated me as such. So I think that Blizzard has no reason to treat such things as something special.
These things have artificially overinflated importance in the eyes of Blizzard.

Which is why I mentioned intersubjectivity, rather than objectivity.
There are enough people willing to give these items that much worth - therefore, the worth is there. It does exist, regardless of your own appreciation of it.

But they cannot force that worth on others. So then we arrive at the point where they want to ‘protect that worth’ vs ‘there is no worth’ sensibility from others. And that’s where we butt heads.

So as I’ve said various times: Completely disregarding either side of the issue is wrong, imo. Yet this is what Blizzard seems to be doing at the moment.

That is why I am advocating for recolours as an acceptable middle-ground.

Their only worth comes from beauty + the scarcity that was created by Blizzard

Just like how the pinnaples were initally a status symbol for wealth to the point where people would carry them to show off instead of eating them

BRM could have their entire challenge done by Summon Niuzao. Vengeance DH and Guardian rolled over it, prot warrior was the only class that had a crumb of a struggle.

Kruul was REALLY trivial lmao.

Nah, just bring back the OG appearances. I am tired of this ““Exclusivity”” excuse lmao. It was just a reward for logging in during the Argus Patch and stumbling over enough Nethershards to enter the tower when it was up.

I think it’d be a fair argument to suggest that whatever you obtain in Classic should be transferable to Retail. The two modes are all but converging now anyway, especially with Remix.

After all, the exclusivity argument stems from the notion that the challenge of the past cannot be recreated and therefore the exclusivity should be preserved.

But recreating the challenge of the past is precisely what Classic does.

I think it’d be fair, since Blizzard are being so prissy about this, that whenever Classic Legion comes out, you can earn the Mage Tower transmogrifications in Retail by completing the challenge in Classic.

But honestly, Blizzard should just make it all available in Remix. For the life of me I do not understand this arbitrary on/off approach they have to exclusivity. It’s so random and arbitrary and nonsensical and eye-rolling.

No don’t say that.
That would just make people feel forced to play Classic for that reason alone.
That’s not healthy.

Blizzard aren’t reading it. Don’t worry.

A few years ago that would make me feel really compelled to do MoP classic for the CMs.
Thankfully I think I grew out of that phase.

The T2 remakes and recolors helped

Hate them. But then again: Hunter player, so yeah. :sob:

I agree with recolours.
This also means that Elite PvP sets don’t need to be brought back: they’re already recolours of existing sets.
Do you agree with this as well?

Don’t really care one way or another.
I’m not too bothered about missing 1 out of 5 possible tints for a set, honestly.
