Right now Shadow priests are in a really bad spot when it comes to AoE, specifically dungeons and lower level Mythic + keys. Other than shadow crash and Voidweaver rift, we have no way to even come close on burst AoE situations.
I believe Mind Sear should be added back and made so where it procs Surge of Insanity (the same way Mind Flay is right now but for Mind Sear) - This should give us a tool to have some burst AoE in dungeons where mobs live less, so we are not absolutely useless.
I dont mind psychic link at all.
Our problems are the 8 target cap on shadow crash and the time required to finish our opener + the actual damage numbers. The ret pala next to us is already spiking 6 million dps while we are halfway through our setup.
They should rework the class make mind bender a core choice remove it from voidweaver talent base make it applie dots on targets. Really I enjoy play voidweaver with mind bender sadly not everyone will do I feel shadow word death and mind blast fills a function.
Blizzard could remove the C turn talent and add in the Depths of shadow talent instead make it crit and cap it to 5 mindbenders that can be alive and crit aoe cleave.
