Because he wants to be able to get into other peoples keys/groups when he wants to regardless of his key/skills
TLDR.
He feels entitled to free carries whenever he fancies it…

False. Raid leaders are the ones trying to get carried. It’s the truth in practice. Last season I was able to get into any normal/heroic instantly, because I had almost 280 ilvl (I usually left after the first wipe, because I didn’t need gear, and couldn’t be bothered, and I also didn’t really have the motivation to learn the raid properly, because sepulcher sucked)
On my alt, that was 250 ilvl, and could actually gain something from normals, I never got invited. The truth is, that LFG doesn’t work, because people try to get people into their group, that maximize their chances to win, not the people, that should actually be doing the content. LFG doesn’t function properly, because people have too much information, and start cherry picking. Also, if someone is in the recommended normal ilvl range, guess what: They usually won’t just get carried, and if they die quickly into the pull, nothing stops you from kicking them.
LFR on the other hand should not even be in the game, because it removes the purpose of very casual guilds
Nice story …
If someone low geared does make a group to hard carry him, who cares, his group his rules.
If you can’t get into groups because of w/e you can always make your own group.
Information is good… For me personally, ones i’m geared and join a HC run, i only want to join runs where everyone has similar gear/experience, because at that point i am done with progress.
The danger of joining pugs, i fail to see the problem, if that’s a problem for you, join a guild.
Oh, Onimaru is back and is yet again crying about raider.io. How surprising.
Yea, how dare other people play the game in a different way than him …
Group Loot is in LFR? Can someone explain to Blizzard that the saying is “don’t fix what’s not broken”, not “break something that’s not broken”?
I think you mean,
Don’t break what has been fixed before.
With the previous system you could do LFR, get the item which wouldn’t be the upgrade for you, get 10 messages from another people who would like to get this item and simply disenchant it right before their eyes. I mean, it’s your item, you got it with personal loot. Blame the system, not the player you said?
Thats fine, but with Group loot you have someone to blame because you dont know their reason for rolling on it, and I used to just tell people I needed the item or give it to them, nowadays ill roll on everything I can and keep it for gold or disenchant.
That reflects more on you than anything else… why are you now intentionally doing that when before with personal loot you gave the item away?
This is really not a “blame the system” because it’s pretty much the same as before, except now you activly decide if you wanna roll, where before you always rolled in the background.
Ah well, i dont care, with your kind of attitude we’d never be in the same group for anything anyway.
All that being said… i find it interesting that this seems to be a huge issue in LFR… but the 31 bosses i did on normal no issue… the few HC bosses i did? No issue… guess it says something about the players in said content.
And before anyone starts with “Bla bla bla guild run bla bla” it was full pugs.
Bla bla bla guid run organised group blah blah blah.
vs group of random strangers, you gotta be thick not to be able to work that one out.
As i said, it was full pug runs -.- but nice try at deflecting.
When everyone is saying PL is the same as GL when everyone presses need, then everyone should not be surprised people are pressing need.
As i said in a post above, i really dont care… if everyone presses need, in average people will get the same amount of loot.
But for those that use the system as intended, you get more good loot… so yea… i really dont care if LFR people are so greedy they’d rather need an item to sell to a vendor than pressing greed.
But i still find it interesting that its such a huge problem, when i could do 31 bosses on Normal, and 5 HC without any issue… with multiple rolls going for greed and off spec ect. It really says something of the mindset about the players that do LFR.
I more think people do not want to bother. That is also why they choose for the queue button instead of finding a group. So they just press need too.
It happened to me, i left too quickly for the next lfr but still won something and got it with the mail later on.
Group loot is a disaster for pugs and lfr, there was a reason it got removed.
I don’t mind it being used in guilds and organized runs but don’t force it on pugs/lfr man…
Didn’t have a single problem with it for the 37 bosses i’ve pugged. Everything was fine, people even won on greed rolls and off-spec rolls.
But i guess you base your “group loot is a disaster for pugs” on experience, so could you link the char you did said runs on, just so i can blacklist the people that made it “a disaster”
I didn’t play Shadowlands.
But Group Loot is not a new System, there was a reason they changed it to personal loot but people seem to forget.
It’s the end of an Expansion gear is not that important right now.
Wait until the first Dragonflight Raid launches and everyone goes crazy because they want to gear up. People will change their mind real quick when “benny the hunter” wins 3 pieces of loot while Camping the graveyard and they get nothing while carrying the raid.
Something that happended all the time with personal loot as well … ^^
Either way, i await your char which you did the raids on so i can blacklist the people who “abused” the system.
