Ok we tried the whole experiment where everyone gets the same gear whether they’re 500cr or 2100. It’s boring and takes away the incentive to improve. Bring back gear rewards to spice things up again.

Making the game artificially unbalanced because of an extra factor is not needed. PvP should be about winning because of your gameplay, not because of your gear.
Just because you want to bully naked fresh characters in brackets where you’re 0 CR doesn’t mean the rest of people have that low self esteem

How can it be an experiment, if it’s going back to how gearing in PvP worked for majority of the expansions? Not to mention, it’s what the vast majority wanted.
If gear difference is the incentive you need to improve, there might be another gamemode more ideal for you.
No. If you need such incentive to play the game, go do pve. In pvp, the game basically only starts when you have the max gear. It is gatekept enough with the cq cap and low cq gain/high cq prices.

A higher rated player has the upper hand already through skill. There’s no need to create an extra layer of power on top of that already.
Yeah try joining pvp mid-season in honor gear against players in conquest. The biggest irony is that the SL system had LESS gear disparity because baseline conquest was only 3 ilvls above honor, so if you start rated pvp at 0 cr you’re only fighting players with max 3 ilvls higher gear instead of 13 with set bonuses which is a much bigger gear disparity, and each bracket was 3 ilvl difference which was minimal.

You know that conquest gear could upgrade in SL? Its not fun fighting r1 players with full BIS at low ratings. Cos thats what very often happened. New players struggling as it is, no need extra struggles.
You’ll see what happens. Believe me Blizzard is not happy that players can cap conquest in a few games each week and then be done. So if rating won’t matter they’re going to make it take way longer to get conquest gear in the future. They’ve already announced that by saying they’re removing the vault and increasing conquest cap.
