More likely the trading post in a future update.
You mentioned gold as a factor of worthâŚ
TLDR;
Manufactured, Fake-value = Terrible.
Thereâs really nothing else to it even if you defend it.
Iâll continue to think itâs sheeply and a major issue in society.
No, dont bring it back, and dont give it away through twitch.
And I do not have it, so thats not why, but some things just have to stay rare and unique.
Ok, no problem, you are free to think whatever you want even if it doesnt match reality, maybe you will understand it some dayâŚ
My guess is that OP is trolling.
Just to add my two cents :
I think itâd be great for everyone to have the opportunity to earn it again. Or maybe a slightly different version of it ? Like the Amani War / Battle bears.
Iâm not sure Iâd care enough to even use it, but if players wish for it, I donât have anything legitimate reasons to stand against it.
Please give us swift spectral tiger, all the gladiator mounts, 421 ilvl gear, every acheivment/title in game and more through twitch drops!
It would really make the gameplay experience whole for me.
Correct
But it was also duplicated alot through exploits.
You mean that Tiger from Trading Post, which have like 90% of players? Yes, I agree that he is nice, though there were dozens of people riding him in orgrimmar when they introduced him in February. But I find it quite hard to see people riding him now 2 months later when he is so cool - if I count 3 or 5 people on him in OG nowadays, its a lot⌠Maybe he is obviously just not so cool when everyone got it, people enjoyed 5 minutes of its cool appearance and then just thow it down their mount collection when they realized that almost everyone got him. Its just a common +1 mount count to your collection, with no unique and value, nothing else unfortunately⌠I used it exactly 3 times before I removed its icon from action bars and never touched it again, its just not even joyful to ride him when you know everyone else got it aswell, so I just use another mount, which is at least somehow little joyful to ride, because you dont usually see it on 90% of playerbase.
Exactly same thing happened with twitch drop TCG Feldrake, there was dozens of people riding him at the start of DF and nowadays you can barely see someone on him - hmm, I wonder why is it like thatâŚ
And yet there are still people demanding more TCG unique stuff to be added to game to ruin uniqueness of that stuff aswell, its just sad and hard to understandâŚ
It was a promotional item, used to sell TCG cards. There was no achievement attached to earning it other than how much money your wasted.
Itâs fair to reuse it in a new promotion.
And I thought I was the only one who felt this way
I have nothing against it being brought back ofc.
But you only like it because you donât have it and itâs rare-ish. The second you see every player in Valdrakken using it you will have it unfavourited within 2 weeks and everyone that spend either a lot of time farming gold or a lot of real money has wasted their time.
As above with the trading post mount. The only people you see using it now are people without a decent mount in their collection. The rest used it for a few days. If you want everything to mean nothing then Iâm not sure what to tell you. Game will die a swift death.
No, thatâs a wrong assumption on your part.
I like it because of how it looks or how it looks on my character(s).
Nope. I couldnât care less who uses it. If I like a transmog, I will use it.
I donât use it because I donât like it. Also because DF has made mounts irrelevant (if youâre doing expansion content anyway). I got the mount because I got it for just playing the game a bit and I wanted to earn the currency; I wouldâve earned the currency regardless of if I liked the mount or not; case in point: I am not the slightest bit interested in the blades we got this month, but I wanted the tendies.
No it wonât. And it also doesnât make things âmean nothingâ.
It will only do that for a particular type of player. And sorry, but that particular type of player is not my concern.
Thatâs easy to say when you havenât invested tens of millions of gold into something for it to be given away for free for watching a stream. You can like the look of it all you want but the second Blizzard start to devalue collections that people have spend almost two decades collecting then itâs really the beginning of the end. The only real grip this game has left on people is time invested in cool items, watch what happens when you dole out mounts like the Feldrake, I might have seen it a handful of times in months.
I read a lot of âI donât care, not my concernâ etc in your post. I donât expect you to. You want to make a cool and rare item common and uncool. There are hundreds of cool mounts to go back and farm without doling out gold cap priced mounts.
The flex is that they were there at the time. You chose your games to play - you missed out. Thatâs just part of life.
Sure. But then again Iâd never do something like that in the first place. Imo itâs idiotic.
No itâs not. Because those people are rare and a tiny, tiny, tiny minority.
The rest of the playerbase will be happy that they have access to it.
No because I donât believe that THAT is what happens.
It will make a cool and rare item, cool and common. Which is fine.
Whats idiotic on it? If someone will want to buy it, then its better according to you to pay real money for it rather than golds, which someone can farm in game? lol
You have the possibility of access to it already - if you want to experience removed unique stuff, then theres Classic for this purposeâŚ
Sorry but if you really think it, then its quite stupid and naive. It will do exactly the opposite, as Mistyxo described - from cool and rare it will of course become common and uncoolâŚ
Did I say that?
No. So donât claim that I did.
Not really; only through shady third party means. Thatâs not okay.
This is not about Classic stuff.
This thread in particular is about TCG things.
No itâs not. Itâs a different mindset. Donât call my mindset stupid.
I donât have an attachment to things because theyâre rare. I just donât. I like something because I like the LOOK of it. That is ALL that matters to me.
It sounded like that, when you said paying golds (by ingame currency) for it is idiotic - sure, millions of golds for it is high price, but thats just because it is an unique and valued thing - otherwise it wouldnt logically be expensive, its expensive/valued because people are willing to pay such priceâŚ
Sure, you can have what different mindset you want, but your personal mindset does not determine that everyone have to feel the same about it - and it objectively doesnt, since there are many people in WoW that just enjoy collecting/putting value in unique things. It is just a part of this game for almost 20 years now
Iâm not telling them they canât feel that way. But if items get offered in promotions, they only have themselves to blame. They are not more important than the vast majority of the playerbase, so if making such a thing available to everyone makes the majority happy; then itâs a good move on Blizzardâs part.
Ye, people will enjoy about 5 minutes of such item before they will throw it down to their collection list after that when they realize the item itself is not so cool if everyone else have it, just as it was describetd with tiger from Trading Post above here in comments⌠Tell me, whats actually the point of doing something like this just almost literally for a while of enjoyment? It honestly just seems pointless and a waste of time for devs to put their effort in there
