I strongly suggest not to comment those pveers who are not intrested in pvp, afterall, creation of pvp server or merging servers wont affect your peaceful pve life, so please be respectful and dont comment thinking that ever1 has to enjoy the game only the way you do.
SOD existence showed that wpvp is something that is liked by a lot of players, the reasdon alot of players quit wotlk was exactly wpvp being dead thanx to one sided faction.
Wpvp existed in cata and mop despite the fly mounts (tol barad \ daily zones \ lvling zones)
Its one of the cruicial parts of the game that just was killed here by mass transfers. Its not that hard to ressurect that part of the game here for blizzard, from creating one fresh server up to merging or making cross realm in world.
I was surprised they didn’t release a faction balance-locked fresh realm but i guess they’re putting in minimum work into cataclysm.
It is probably too late now to hope for any fresh since most returning players settled on one of the already existing realms.

I got that they don’t like WPvP, but why they have to hate so much if we get what we want? XD like WTF!!! Just stay on your beloved “Fake PvP” realm and let us have a fresh one balanced as SoD. I really don’t understand why they don’t want that I play the game on a realm different than their one >.<
world pvp in wintergrasp zone (not a pvp event, i mean time between, when everyone farm titan/herbs/fish/elementals) its a best thing, from what i get fun played on one famous ̶p̶r̶i̶v̶a̶t̶e̶ server. so sad what i cant get same expirience on gehennas/firemaw
thing what i like most its - ressurecting mechanic in this location
when you die, you ressurect at spirit healer, like on battlegrounds, with full hp/mana
its mean what people cant just nolife corpse camping you 5 vs 1
you ress, buff, call fly mount and burst into fight! and no care if someone gank you
easy solution, even without servers merging, faction balancing. just make this location CROSSERVER, but we know, blizzard dont care about pvp players, so…
i hope, maybe they doin something with tol barad, but again, they just remove arena skirmishes in prepatch, they just spat in the face of all casual pvp players.
Blizzard doesn’t give a damn about cata period. I can’t remember a blizzard game that had so many bugs and missing stuff from such a late beta/prepatch. They sent out surveys for cata classic to so many people to ask « what new feature would you like » and ofc, NONE of those were implemented. We still don’t know if they’re gonna make adjustments based on how short the xpac will be.
Only thing that beats cata level of incompetence is WC3 reforged but it was so bad I don’t think anything will beat that in the upcoming century.
