Broken Draenei or Krokul

Do you think we’ll see broken draenei in the near future? And is it possible?

Its Blizzard. if there is “kerching!!” then it’s possible. I sincerely hope not, but…

We’ve got eradar so don’t see why not. Tho broken would probably have to be a new race vs a customisation

I hope so, though the obvious window of opportunity to do so was when Argus was still somewhat current content (and accessible lorewise). So I don’t think it’ll happen this year or the next, but eventually? It’s possible.

Wtb void broken draenei/krokul like the ones on Mac’aree/Eredath. So much customization options with purple void limbs.

Personally I think the broken would fit well with the Horde. I am not that familiar with their lore, but weren’t they pretty pissed about the Draenei, at least the ones on Argus?

maybe but i cant see them joining the horde feel like they overcame that by the end of the patch. plus theres already broken in the allaince right the ones from outland

The Broken? Who were mutated after being exposed to the fel energies wielded by orc warlocks the survivors of the Orcs attempted genocide and after the Orcs destroyed the World many started to call “home”?
Yeaaaaah… I’m not that sure
The Krokul of Argus were mutated by Argus’s fel energies instead of the Red Mist, but probably want nothing to do either the Alliance (where the Lightforged and the followers of Velen are… and now the Man’ari. Hatuun after countless millenia was bitter about the Prophet leaving him and others behind, even though he made the choice to stay on his own and if we wouldn’t vouche for Velen he porbably would have killed the Prophet right there) or the Horde.
The Krokul in Eredath have been mutated by Void energies by the Shadowguard ethereals even further and trust me, the last thing either side need is more Void abominations, we have enough problems already with the Void Elves and insane Shadow Priests…

As I said, I am not that familiar with their lore.

Fair point. Has been some time since I played Legion content on Argus.

wasnt it survivors from shattrath or something

Yes
And no
The Red Pox of Imperator Molok of Goria was a biological weapon against the Orcs originally (based on the Curse of Sethe)
Aafter Goria’s destruction, the disease would never truly go away, returning in plagues every few generations. Centuries later, Gul’dan used his magic to spread the worst outbreak in orcish history, killing hundreds in a matter of months.
The Red Pox would later be modified by the Shadow Council and melded with their Fel energies. They released the modified disease on Shattrath City to fight its Draenei defenders. The Fel plague was loaded into crude bombs and lobbed at Shattrath. After the explosions, the mixture turned into the Red Mist.
When its vapors reached them, the draenei immediately began choking. The Draenei that survived the exposure of the mist were cut off from the Light and later transformed into the Broken and eventually the Lost One Draenei.
The Horde slaughtered most of the Draenei race and forced the survivors into hiding. After being exposed to the Fel energies wielded by orc warlocks, many Draenei were mutated into physically deteriorated forms too.
The two cripled group basically formed the Broken of Draenor while the Krokul of Argus was mutated by the Fel energies of Argus
Despite the (in most cases) accidental regression into Broken Draenei, many Draenei not only distrusted them but despised them.
Although understandable of those Broken Draenei who remain corrupted or in service to the Legion, one would think that the Draenei would be willing to welcome any of their people that survived the orcs’ genocide - but they were not
Talking with Nobundo, however, reveals a possible reason for this distrust and hatred. Broken Draenei are unable to draw upon the Light’s powers, being infused with Fel energies. The Draenei, being deeply religious, could view this in a very negative context. For some Draenei, the shamanistic teachings of the Broken were even considered as heretical
Yes mom, it is a cult
Sometimes even in societies such as Shattrath, the social rejection from other Draenei can turn Broken suicidal, while uncorrupted draenei guards watch, presumably viewing an ended life as better than a Broken life.
Still despite this rejection, Broken are in general accepted more than the Lost One Draenei.
And it not really helped, after the decimation the draenei, as the Horde enslaved the ogres, and took dark dominion over the world, Velenand fled with the remnants of his people to the fungal swamps, where they once more hid themselves from the gaze of the Legion… and not mingled with the Broken
And when the Exodaar left Draenor?
Let’s say, the Broken were not on the vessel…
The mutated and cursed monstorsities once called brothers and sisters were left behind

So if anyone, the Broken have a really good reason to hate the Horde… and not be good friend with the Alliance either (to the point, the wound was so deep, the Lost Ones refused to rejoin the Draenei when they tried to reconcile, due to bitterness to having been abandoned by them as Broken)

Legion was the best opportunity they had to introduce Krokuul, really should have been them instead of void elves. They had every reason to join the alliance in that moment

It’s criminal that Krokuul aren’t an allied race, I don’t even play Ally but they’d be so cool to have in the game, especially since unlike most allied races they’d be actualy somewhat unique with well established lore that has existed prior to just some guy at Blizzard deciding to give a race different eye color and call it a “new race”. (looking at you most allied races)

Yes
A lore how the Horde with Fel-enhanced biological weapon “created them”, mutating their body, making them abominations and how their own kind - who are now the member of the Alliance and soon accept the Man’ari - shunned them, rejected and abandoned them to rot and die with a planet the said Orcs destroyed
Not so great Lore to be part of either faction
