Bronze Timelock spell missing

Does this spell was removed from the skyriding? I don’t see it in my Spellbook after patch.

There is nothing about it in patch notes but all my characters missing Bronze Timelock spell. This is confusing.

Hey there,

I can confirm this is intended and Bronze Timelock was removed together with Vigor being deprecated along the other Skyriding changes.

Sorry for the confusion!

It hasn’t been removed for all characters and while I do not know the correct criteria why some characters may have kept the spell I can only assume it has to do with the amount of Dragonflight story content a specific character had played through in the past, before the patch.

A few of mine have kept the bronze timelock on their bars and it isn’t just the a greyed out spell icon but a fully separate clickable button that also appears in their spellbook, entirely disconnected from the the collapsable dragonriding skillset.

In my case it’s removed from all normal characters I have. The only exception is Remix character. This character got this spell out of Skyriding mini drop-down menu. It’s in the General Spell menu among other spells.

Bronze timelock is fully available for fresh transfers from remix, but not for all of previously existing characters on standard servers, which makes no sense. Some have even kept it, others have not, a lot of inconsistency and selective favoritism here.

Please properly decide if you want to remove it completely or keep it, but if you are willing to relay feedback, there is no reason to delete a fun ability that is restricted to be used only on Dragon Isles (which is currently intended as the new player experience).

You can just modify the functionality and tooltip, as is the case for BFA amulet powers, Shadowlands bonus covenant abilities or even treasure finding x-ray gimmick abilities from Dragonflight and much older Draenor garrison perks.

All of these are available only in content of their respective expansions, but not all of them will necessarily appear in the general spellbook before you physically step foot onto a specific continent.

Using any of the special Dragonflight customizable drake mounts auto-pushes the bronze timelock ability onto action bars, not onto the skyriding action bar but instead it gets thrown at the basic main bar 1.

This does not happen with any if all other mounts and as memory serves me it was originally intended to help repopulate your bar if you by accident dragged a riding ability away from it (eventually it would allow you to reorganize button order and would only force-reintroduce missing abilities, but luckily this annoying functionality can be disabled entirely with a script).

Additionally, once removed by the user, the dismount icon seems to be missing from the UI (red downwards arrow, similar to the leave vehicle icon). This newly added ability is completely gone from the skyriding ability toolkit though I remember encountering it in the first days of the patch.
